Broken rice with pork rolls:The dry rice is soft enough. Not ok, nothing impressive. Big pattiesPeel, long fiber. Lack of hearing, too little meat. If seasoned, it will be less messy.Peanut fish sauce, too little pickles. It's not delicious so this rice dish overall is not delicious, it's too dry and not rich at all.If you add more salad, it will be better.

Craving Vietnamese food? Good place to check out. My parents loved this place & it’s one of their favorite spots.Large portions, yummy bbq pork chop, and the crispy bean curd was tasty too. I typically stick to the bbq pork chop, but I am glad I tried the crispy bean curd. It was crispy and I was surprised that I liked it. The rice plate came with a fried egg in addition to the egg cake. I got the #1 rice broken rice plate and it came with 4 different meats, soup, rice, over easy egg, and an egg cake. Just that order was enough for 2-3 meals.

Best com tam in OC. Great customer service, great food.

Not sure what happened but the quality of the food has gone down drastically since two years ago. The grilled meat (thit nuong) was much too salty and also very tough like it was grilled more than once. The shredded pork skin (bi) had an unpleasant odor like it's been left over for several days old. Thankfully, the pork cake (cha) was ok, otherwise I would have rated this place 1 star. Restaurant owners should try their food to see if they would even eat the food they serve to customers. Big thumbs down.

Com Tam here is the best in OC. Beside that, this restaurant is very clean and has good service.

Tau hu ky is my favorite part of com tam and they didn't disappoint. I ordered for to go. Three orders of Suon nuong woth cha and tau hu ky. My parents ended up eating theirs the day after and My mom complained that it doesn't taste as good after a day in the fridge. I took my leftovers to work the next day and it tastes fine to me. To each his own so I guess keep that in mind it may be better fresh if you're picky. I'll still come back though.

Another Com Tam joint added to my list! I won't ever get tired of Com Tam; it's such an amazing comfort dish for when I'm feeling down or a bit nostalgic. Cheap, filling, and quick; it's an amazing dish that people from all backgrounds should try! Came here with a few friends for a quick meal before the club. It's obviously your typical Vietnamese restaurant and we were seated immediately. The owners were friendly, but take that with a grain of salt since I speak Viet. Menu is Com Tam, along with side dishes and a few appetizers. Prices range from $12-15 due to inflation but the portions are huge, along with the fact that the food comes out in an instant.

The grilled pork is good but I take off 2 points for getting my order wrong (I ordered grilled pork with the chả cua but got bì instead) and got charged extra $.50 for using credit card (this is very small amount but quite annoying, especially the way the owner explained the charge- "because you get cash back from your credit card"!). I prefer broken rice at Thiên Hao much better.

So good! The grilled pork chop was well seasoned and also tender. Highly recommended. I ordered the Kieu Giang signature plate which includes broken rice, grilled pork chop, fried beancurd sheet with shrimp paste, shredded pork, and steamed egg cake, and sausage.

What this place lacks in decoration, it makes up for it in the presentation of the food. The meat is actually grilled which was nice. The hot tea is by Stasen - can't go wrong with Stasen Jasmine Green Tea. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.Recommendation to the staff: Bring out the soup, hot, along with the food - not before the food comes out or it will be cold by the time your guests start eating. Maybe add some Vietnamese cultural art to the walls along with some bamboo curtains for the windows.

First time trying this place and the food was bomb! Service was mainly in Viet but they shouldn't have a problem communicating with non-Viet speakers. Each order is pricey but comes with a GREAT amount of food. There were lots of to-go orders being made while I was eating there. Nothing different from other Com Tam places, but this place seems friendly, reliable, and just as delicious.

I tried com tam around OC area and this is one of among a few good places, clean and com tam was good. Give your taste a try & compare with Dao Vien, Thanh, Thuan Kieu, Tran Quy Cap.....to see which one is up to par.
