the foods is too salty, every thing, we came with a party of ten, we ordered a bunch of foods, but everything is too salty, not good at all, i have no idea why some they got the rating of 4.5 , 4.9 stars..... it should not be rating even 1 star.

The place is exactly what you would expect of Sichuan food some mala and a strong vinegar taste. The service was ok a little slow for only serving about 2 tables on a weekday morning. The food genuinely is ok although nothing stood out in particularly. While the dumplings were good there was something so tart and vinegary about the dishes it was somewhat overwhelming as many of the flavors were synonymous. The noodles lacked flavor and the fried buns I got were kind of stiff. Overall it was not a bad experience although nothing I would particularly recommend.

I was surprised to see a Sichuan restaurant in Garden Grove of all places. Heck, it might even be the only one in the city. Food was very good and the service was even better. The waiter/cashier definitely deserves a mention for how attentive he was. Overall, it's comparable to Rowland Heights/Irvine places.

Service: 70% Food: 60% Ambiance: ??? We ordered the sesame seed balls, beef chow mein, sichuan zhong's dumplings, scallion pancakes, and three delicacies dumplings Sesame Seed Balls: It came out hot and warm so I left it on the side to cool down a bit but when I return to it, it is rock hard. Kinda hard to chew but it was still good. Beef Chow Mein: Really good, garlicky but a bit dry. Dumplings: the dumpling tastes salty, too vinegary, and don't know which dumpling was spicy or non spicy. Scallion Pancakes: BOMB. I thought it was going to be one of those thick ones but I guess I was wrong. Ordered it twice.

Relatively okay Szechuan food for the OC area. Ordered the chongqing spicy chicken, sichuan zhong dumpling, and dandan noodles, all of which were just okay. The chongqing spicy chicken was a mix of peppers and pieces of chicken, most of which had a higher breading to chicken ratio. The sichuan zhong dumplings were disappointing, as the sauce was heavy on vinegar and lacking in spice. The dandan noodles were slightly underseasoned. Service was quite slow, as the dishes came about 10-15 minutes apart from one another. Overall, the food left much to be desired. The restaurant itself is clean and staff is polite. 15% OFF!!!!! We walked in at around 2:15 PM on a Sunday. The place was pretty much empty, but it was clean and bright. Lots of tables available. We were greeted by a pretty friendly waitress/hostess, and she also took our order. Ordered three things from the menu. Pork spare rib l salt and pepper, beef green onions, and a tofu special The restaurant is offering a 15% off at the moment on their already reasonable prices considering their portion size. This whole meal cost $40 with tax included. That is pretty reasonable to be considering we took home half of our ordered for two including rice. I would come here any day over other fast food, restaurants. The waitress gave us a fresh bowl of rice to take home instead of usually what's left over. She also was pretty attentive and checked in on us. I would come back here if I was in the area and was craving Chinese

A delicious and new Szechuan restaurant in Garden Grove? Sign me up! Harbor Garden is a welcome addition since there aren't many Szechuan restaurants in the area. When we visited, I was surprised at how empty it was. However, the food was awesome and I hope they gradually attract more customers. We ordered the juicy dumplings, offal noodle soup, and stir fried beef with celery. Everything was sooo flavorful and yummy. My personal favorite was the offal noodle soup with pickled veggies. The meat tasted high quality and tender. The noodles and dumplings are made in house, and you can really taste the love and care they put into them! Service was very very friendly and the restaurant itself is very clean. I will definitely be back.

Harbor Garden has a high review rating for a good reason. The food is not greasy and it is flavorful. The food was served hot with a nice balance of ingreadients. The portion size is very fair relative to the price. Also, they do give free white rice with the entree when you dine in. On top of that, the hot green tea was served piping hot and it is free when you dine in with the entre. You just have to ask.The food is clean cooking. Meaning to say the food was not floating in oil and the mixture of protein to veggie ratio is very balanced. The flavor also have enough seasoning and spice that the ingredients have been enhanced instead of overwhelm or overpower the other ingredients. The flavor of the green tea is excellent and it really helps cleanse the palate and it helps with letting the food settle for the other entre. The service is superb. The servers were very attentive. And I had the lucky opportunity to talk to the manager. I found out that the chef is an authentic chef from China. Therefore, the flavors are uniquely authentic Chinese flavors as supposed to other Chinese restaurants. And they make the noodles fresh by hand in the kitchen daily. No extra preservative from factory bought noodles. That adds to the clean flavor and eats I mentioned earlier. The ambiant lighting is not dark or too bright. The smell is fabulous and not fishy. The accoustic in the restaurant has enough background noise but not so loud that you can't hear the conversation in front of you.The restroom is clean and it doesnt have a bad smell. The dining room is clean and there is enough space to walk between the tables and chairs. The dining room have a ton of space for huge parties.I suppose this is a great place to take huge families. Next door is owned by the same family and they sell boba and teas. So if one want to order from the boba shop next door, ask the server. If that isn't a good customer service, I don't know what is.I had a good experience dining here that felt compelled to write them a review. And no, I am not being paid for the review nor am I related to the owners.

Harbor Garden is SUCH a hidden gem! Their menu has a wide variety of options for everybody. My parents and I have been back probably 4 times in the past month. We always start with the braised beef noodle soup. It's such a comforting, flavorful dish to slurp on in this rainy weather! Next up is the stir-fried beef with onion. A little oily but great with rice. Oftentimes, we'll switch between the juicy dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, or potstickers. Either way, you can't go wrong! Be sure to ask for finely chopped ginger on the side to dip your dumplings in. The service here is as good as the food. Everyone here is really nice and attentive. The space is always clean and open.

I was excited to see that a Sichuan restaurant opened up in Garden Grove and decided to give it a try. However this food did not live up to my expectations. I'm not an expert in Sichuan food but I think I've been to enough restaurants to know what is legit and what isn't. Sour shredded potatoes- this is good. It is a bit softer compared to what I normally get but it is cooked correctly. I wish it was more sour though. Sichuan dumplings- the dumplings are huge for their size. The skins appear to be homemade but the issue is that they are so loosely wrapped and the filling was falling apart when biting into it. Additionally, it almost tasted like the meat inside the filling wasn't fully cooked yet. The filling is also ginger taste heavy so I wouldn't recommend it for those who don't like ginger. The sauce it came with was delicious though I was expecting the filling to be spicy because of the name. Spicy chicken- this was the most disappointing of them all. I order this dish at every Sichuan restaurant I go to and I've never had it taste like this. The batter on the chicken is too thick. Additionally the chicken is overfried and dry. It's not spicy or numbing at all. The worst part is the taste. I don't know what to make of it but it is not spicy chicken. It tasted like they marinaded it in bbq powder...
