FOOD POISONING / NOROVIRUS!!PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACEI and my girl friends had dinner here on Saturday and ordered halibut combo, uni bap was smelly and oysters were not fresh at all, Halibut was just okay. So we figured that this place is not a good restaurant. And yes, we got food poisoning or norovirus from this restaurant. I just called the restaurant, explained what we are going through and asked for the refund. Here is what the owner said. "we can't give you the refund, go to ER or see a doctor so our insurance covers for it". He didn't even say sorry.WOW.

Came in at around 4:40 and ordered to-go. This was such a quaint little restaurant but the inner decor was really pretty. The owners (?) 2 elderly people were incredibly nice and accommodating. We ordered 3 uni bowls (and went back to get a 4th). Super delicious. The uni was really fresh and has such a sweet delicate taste. No fishyness at all! Overall a 11/10 ?Also service was super fast our orders were ready in 10-20 mins!

Overall food is just okay. Not the best and not the worst. However, the customer service from the server is the WORST ever. She would never listen to the requests and had to repeat the request over and over. Most of the time she would ignore you although you can tell that she heard us calling her. Found a hair in the food and brought it up to her and just took it away from the table and walked away without saying anything. Few minutes later, she comes back with a new one and slams it on the table and walks away, although we told her that we didn't want it. She was one of the worst server ever that I have dealt with and she really shouldn't be on the floor dealing with the customer. I am so embarrassed to the people that I have invited to this place and will never ever go back again. This was a horrible dining experience.

Came to this empty restaurant in the Korean District of Garden Grove on a Wednesday keeping in the uni bowl. We were seated right away and our serve was so nice to us. Sea urchin bowl (5/5): I ordered the large sea urchin for $17 and it came out a bit smaller than I thought it would. But it was still good value as it comes 6 pieces or sea urchin and varieties of masago. The uni was extreme creamy and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back here again.

My family was craving oysters, so we drove for an hour to visit this place. For our first time here, the quality of the food went beyond our expectations -- the oysters were incredibly fresh and plump, the sashimi was amazing, and the uni was flavorful and beautifully presented! If we lived closer to KanSai, the restaurant would have been one of our go-to spots for their oysters and uni.

I love everything from my course sashimi. The server was really sweet! My favorite was the oyster, it's so fresh and the sauce was so tasty.

Go to for fresh uni. This is a Korean Japanese fusion place I never noticed. A little hard to find. I hear it gets packed.Luckily my first experience was on a week night. Service and food was fast.Descent prices. Amazing for the uni. Definitely coming back.

Decent quality of food, super quiet environment...a little pricey especially for the area but not bad if youre looking for a more intimate setting

They don't have all items on menu but the food is good and the price is fair. Uni are delicious. Sashimi are really fresh. Red shrimps are actual still moving... Only bad thing is the server lady. She's so slow and not very helpful.

Visiting from Texas. Ordered sashimi combo, sushi was thick, moist, melts in your mouth like butter. Make sure to ask for the ssam jang sauce, they use fresh garlic and jalapeños. Sea urchin rice was delicious and as the Koreans say, "ggo so hae" which means nutty and sweet. Overall, very pleased with take out and the amount of food they give you and thickness of the sashimi.

I called at 4:15PM to ask if there was Uni available to order and they said yes; however, they failed to mention until we sat down at the restaurant that the menu was extremely limited (no sushi rolls, no cut rolls, no bento boxes)- half their menu wasn't available to order. This could have been mentioned during the call but we tried to make it work. The server couldn't answer most questions we had about what we could/couldn't order on his own. When it was time to order the main dish we came for (uni bowls), he mentioned they only had enough for 3 servings due to a busy night beforehand, which he didn't mention on the call when I asked him if the dish would be available. When I called to confirm, he simply said "Yes, we have it". When I got to the restaurant: "We only have enough for 3 bowls left because we sold out last night". Had we known, we probably wouldn't have come to the restaurant and gone elsewhere. The server was standoffish the whole night and the food we actually did get to order had inconsistent quality. For example, we ordered a sushi combo that came with a selection of pieces of nigiri. The server had to clarify that the pieces of tuna were actually tuna when he put it on the table, because the cuts looked off. The slices on this nigiri had the visual texture of raw beef. Other pieces were warm and concerning. We also ordered a sashimi combo that should have come with either an uni bowl or fish roe sushi bowl, and they didn't have either; however, they did compensate with spicy tuna hand rolls though I don't believe it was worth the same value as I was paying for. Our appetizer was supposed to come with sea squirt and octopus - we did not receive both. When we finally received the bill, it was hand-written on a piece of paper and the only prices shown were for 2/5 items that were ordered. We were charged $99.99 for the Sashimi Combo and $28.99 for the Sushi Combo which were the prices listed on the menu - as expected. For the uni bowls, we ordered what they had enough for: 2 medium and 1 large bowl. The menu listed a price of $9.99 for each uni bowl with no listed price distinction between sizes. Since my parents have dined here before, we assumed that the regulars would be charged the menu price of $9.99 and the large would be charged a bit more which we were fine with, since my parents said they ordered and received the exact same item last time for $9.99. I asked the server for an itemized breakdown of the receipt and he couldn't provide that for me, so he asked the back kitchen and came back with prices that didn't match the menu: $13.99 for medium and $15.99 for large. I asked him why the prices don't match the menu and he said $9.99 was for a small and we were being charged an additional $1 for rice which wasn't indicated on the menu or told to us by the server when we ordered. I asked him, again, for an itemized breakdown and calculation of the final price and he replied, "Well I told you the prices. You can calculate it yourself, right?" in a condescending tone. At this point, I was frustrated and wanted to leave. I didn't want to make a scene at the restaurant given that it was Mother's Day. I gave him my card and he disrespectfully made the remark, "Let's just make Mama happy, okay," to which I didn't respond. It was patronizing and rude. Given that it was Mother's Day, I still left a tip hoping it would get distributed to other workers who had no part in this experience. I came home and checked Yelp for previous customer experiences and it turns out, I was right about the $9.99 charge for the uni bowls. Our two "medium" bowls were the exact same size as the reviews & pictures posted by others who were only being charged $9.99 with no additional $1 charge for rice. There was no such thing as a "small" size for these uni bowls. In an attempt to get an explanation from the restaurant, I tried calling the restaurant today multiple times only to get the ans
