The best chicken Pho ever. This place only opens from 8:30 to 3 pm. The flavor of the soup and the chicken is exactly like mom's home-made style.

Rainy day, stopped by to pickup chicken pho and chicken rice dish. The female at the register, think she handles the front of the restaurant, always nice and helpful. There were others ordering for take-out too. Chicken pho and rice always delish.

It's horrible I went there this morning to try out this place, just because my nephews and a niece from TX came over and requested to eat there! A lady (seems like the owner) came and take order! She was rude! She asked my wife what she wanted, my wife turned to my nephews and niece and asked them what they wanted so she could order for them, the lady yelled at my wife saying my wife needed to answer her, don't ask others!!!! Phở is horrible, taste horrible!!! Never come back, and i don't recommend it to any one.

Lady owner was very rude . Not even smile. No answer the questions . Her face looks like someone killed her dog lol . Pho favors are not good. So much MSG , chicken over cooked . service was slow. do not come to that place . You'll get sick . My family and I not coming back .

The food is really mediocre and chicken rice is super oily. I ordered the chicken rice. The meat is a very small portion and the rice was very oily and salty. The owner is just very rude, like she's doing us customers a favor. She charged extra $1.20 for extra nước mắm. The restaurant itself was very small and stuffy and tables are so close to each other that you can literally hear everyone's conversation. All is all 2/5 for food and 1/5 for service.

We ordered half of the steam empress chicken with the ginger and scallion sauce with clear noodle and rice noodles it was the BEST combos. So good! That we forgotten to take photos of them. Kids ordered beef ball noodles and beef pho noodles it was all gone by the time we are done. We got 2 bottle waters it was half the regular size of a regular 16oz bottle water and they charge $1.50 each we thought that was funny for such a smal 8ozl bottle. ?

As an ardent lover of pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup that has won hearts across the globe, I always look forward to trying out new places and exploring varied interpretations of this hearty, comforting dish. It was with this eagerness that I decided to visit Pho Tuan Canh, a local establishment with some hype surrounding its affordable Chicken Pho. Unfortunately, my experience fell quite short of expectations. As soon as you walk into Pho Tuan Canh, you are greeted by a bustling atmosphere that exudes warmth and promise of an authentic dining experience. The restaurant's layout is inviting, and the decor has an element of simplicity that mirrors the ethos of Vietnamese culinary tradition. A promising start, if you will. However, the pivotal part of any dining experience lies in the quality and taste of the food served, and it was here that Pho Tuan Canh missed the mark. I ordered their much-touted Chicken Pho, hoping to savor a delicate, nourishing broth steeped with the flavors of chicken, anise, cloves, and other key pho ingredients. The dish, unfortunately, was a letdown. The fundamental balance of taste that one expects in pho was conspicuously missing, primarily because the broth was heavily saturated with monosodium glutamate (MSG). MSG, when used judiciously, can enhance flavors, but an excess can create an overpowering umami flavor that masks other, more subtle tastes, creating an imbalance. This was certainly the case here. While the chicken was cooked fairly well and the noodles were of an acceptable standard, the overwhelming presence of MSG in the broth tainted the entire experience. Following my meal, I experienced discomfort in my stomach, which I attribute to the excess MSG intake. It's essential to note that older adults, people with hypertension, and individuals sensitive to MSG should be especially wary of dining here, given this heavy-handed use of the additive. Given this experience, I cannot recommend Pho Tuan Canh to fellow pho enthusiasts or those looking for a fulfilling Vietnamese dining experience. A truly great pho is a symphony of flavors that is complex yet harmonious, hearty yet delicate, and above all, deeply satisfying without having to rely on excessive use of flavor enhancers like MSG. Pho Tuan Canh needs to reassess and refocus on the essentials that make pho the beloved dish that it is - a delicate, perfectly seasoned broth; fresh, quality ingredients; and the right balance of flavors. Until then, it falls disappointingly short of providing a memorable, or even comfortable, dining experience. In conclusion, despite its attractive price point, the Chicken Pho at Pho Tuan Canh sacrifices quality for affordability - a trade-off that can leave diners like me unsatisfied and, in my case, with an upset stomach. I hope the restaurant takes note of these points and works towards improving their offering to ensure a better dining experience for all patrons in the future.
