This place is amazing!! Their vegan tacos are so good. The flavors are next level and you feel like you don't have to sacrifice at all. These might be the best vegan tacos I've ever had, and some of the best vegan food I've ever had. Try their jackfruit based tacos. My hubby is super picky about tacos and he really likes their meat tacos. Really high quality ingredients, and impressively good taste.

Gourmet tacos!! It was located at the Garden Grove Steel Craft food court. Grabbed 3 types of tacos - Mexican Asada (beef, onions, cilantro, cotija / queso fresco, cumin-lime crema), Tempura Battered Avocado (fried avocado, picked red cabbage, onions, cilantro, cumin-lime crema), and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts (roasted brussels, soyrizo crumbles, queso fresco, maple and Siracha carmelized onions) They were served on blue tortillas. All three were palatably delightful. The onions in the Roasted Brussel Sprouts one was the most distinctive and best part with it slightly spicy, smoky, sweetness. Due to the current covid situation, they didn't had any more fountain drinks (no horchata) and some of the food choices on their website were also no longer available. I was excited to go try their duck tacos too :(. Bulgogi was also not option anymore.

I came here for lunch around 11:00 at the end of Summer 2020. Only a few locations were open at that time. I would say most of the food options are open after 12:00, but this has changed with the new COVID restrictions. I like the outdoor seating available at Steelcraft, which makes it very dog-friendly. Renegade Tacos don't offer food pagers, but you can still check to see when your food is ready with ample outdoor seating. I ordered from the Taco Tuesday menu: Grilled Mexican Shrimp, Crispy Potato, and Duck Confit Mole. I'm pretty happy with my choices. All the tacos came with a variety of toppings. The Grill Mexican Shrimp had a lot of white onion and nice size shrimp topped with a cumin-lime sauce, great flavor, and a classic Mexican taco. The Cripsy Potatoes tacos had similar toppings, but with the addition of some queso fresco. It was a nice flavorful vegetarian option. The Duck Confit was sweetly balanced with the duck meat, something different from your traditional taco. I would order from the taco Tuesday/Thursday menu again if I'm looking for a quick bite to eat at Steelcraft!

Renegade Taco is located in SteelCraft, (photo) for those not familiar with SteelCraft the concept was born of a desire to bring people together over food and drinks, uniting local eateries with a communal dining space. SteelCraft has 3 locations it all started in Long Beach in 2017, they then opened locations in Bellflower and Garden Grove, SteelCraft Garden Grove is an 20,000 square foot Outdoor urban eatery built out of get this..... 22 repurposed shipping containers laid out on a plot of land, it's basically laid out in a square with the center left open and that's the communal dining area where you'll find plenty of benches to sit and eat. The Garden Grove location has about 10 Food & Drink Vendors and a Vintage Video Arcade, offering up a nice variety of food, Coffee, Beer and soon to open Wine, I loved the atmosphere of the communal dining, along with TV's for entertainment I wish they build one of these in Los Angeles. yelp.com/biz_photos/rene… yelp.com/biz_photos/rene… Now about Renegade Taco yelp.com/biz_photos/rene… I will start off by saying Hipster or Fusion Tacos are really not my thing, and unlike most people I don't eat with my eyes first, I could care less if the plate is beautiful or not, it's gotta taste good, and these guys nailed it with one disappointment, what was that you ask!? Menu said nothing about tortillas and I was pleasantly surprised to see Blur Corn tortillas, unfortunately they were not house made, and wore they were NOT fresh, they were on the dry side and "slightly-hard" enough to ((take off 1 Star per taco! This has become my family's Taco Tuesday place. We phone in our order ahead of time, and it is always ready 10 minutes later when we pick it up. Food is consistently good, and the people who work there very friendly and efficient. We have tried every taco, and they are all good. My only complaint, for which I blame Covid and not the restaurant is that they don't have guacamole or fish tacos at this time. Hopefully when things improve, they will start to carry them again.

Stopped by this spot based on the pictures and on the Steelcraft reputation since I have been to a couple of the locations. Well, this place sucked from the get go, the place opened at noon and the shop had the window open like it was ready to serve, well I stepped up at 11:58 am and one of the guys working there stated, "we open up at noon so give us 2 more minutes" I was like WTF, straight up telling me to F off politely for 2 minutes. Place is not worth the wait. Might as well keep the closed sign up with that attitude.

I come here typically every Tuesday to bring tacos home for my family. We eat 4 each! Pork was by far my favorite. But honestly you cant go wrong with any of them. By far my favorite place to eat! I'd highly recommend

Vegan options makes my heart happy The corn in the cup was amazing, and the potato tacos were absolutely unexpectedly sensational. Top notch service, great space for social distancing and lovely staff. I had the seasonal

Is having Taco Tuesday on Taco Thursday a renegade play?Renegade Taco is one of several food vendors in SteelCraft Garden Grove, a food park located not too far from the highway or such places as Costco or Historic Main Street. I'd say food hall, but the steel shipping containers are ringed around a quad of outdoor seating. That makes it governmentally acceptable to dine here during a pandemic. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they serve street tacos. These are smaller (2-3 bites for a hungry diner) and commensurately cheaper versions of their normal-sized tacos on the menu and are either $2.00 or $2.50 currently. I like to try several different foods if I can, so I was very happy to take advantage of this offering.Adobo Chicken ($2): dug the pico de gallo. The chicken was pretty well-flavored, but started losing the marinade after a few chews. Not bad, just not my favorite and perhaps my least favorite.Lemongrass Marinated Pork ($2): solid rendition of familiar flavors in the Asian palate, with sweetness and lemongrass on the pork and necessary crema for, well, creaminess.Mexican Asada ($2.50): variably tender beef chunks with some slight funk bestowed by the cotija. The cumin in the crema was a nice touch too. Second best of the bunch in my book.Duck Mole ($2.50): damn, that's delicious duck. It's off the main menu now but was posted in the window, so I had to try it. Tons of flavor from the mole and another beneficiary of crema.Grilled Mexican Shrimp ($2.50): last taco in my lineup and, alas, not the best. The shrimp bits are tiny and not well-marinated. I wish that they'd still had a fish option for me so that I could get some texture. All street tacos come with just one corn tortilla, for better or worse. Better in that you have less to distract from the good stuff, but worse in that the wet toppings cause some tortillas nearly to collapse if you wait too long to get to time (which you realistically might if taking them to-go or enjoying some beer from a neighboring SteelCraft business). Oh, and they do provide some lime wedges, but the flavors were well-balanced already in each of my orders. These aren't typical grease-bombs from traditional taquerias (which I did somewhat hope for at times, but I digress. All in all, I was happy with my choice and would gladly grab some bites Renegade Taco again on any day of the week. Well, aside from Monday because the entire place is closed then. But yeah, any other day.

Wow! So disappointed. $4.50 for the world's tiniest tacos. Had to go eat after. It's ok to sell appetizers or food in small portions as long as you know and the cost is relative. and the water is $4 for a small cup. We paid the price but only once. Can't again. Sorry.
