Eating at this location was a tremendous mistake. The service was horrid, we asked 3 separate servers for drinks repeatedly. The $150 we spent for 3 lbs of shrimp and $45 flat rate for a lobster. All the food was over cooked. The shrimp was soft and broke apart under the shell, soggy from being in hot water too long. The lobster (which wasn't even sold by the lb) meat had shrunken 3 times it's size. The claws were so small they fell out of the shell. The lobster tail was so soggy and soaked in butter it was actually sweet ! The flavor of the lobster had been demolished by over cooking. This was an awful experience and a waste of money on TERRIBLY cooked seafood. Don't come to this location. It seems managers or even OWNERS recognize how bad this is, judging by all the other reviews. This business should just shut down all together or find management that really cares! If I hear from someone in management/corporate I'll change this review. Until then, this business should not be allowed to run with poor coordination and unhealthy conduct of food.

Just picked up my 15 millionth take out order since the pandemic started. The GM at this Brookhurst location is so damn friendly. She's awesome and her service in 100%! They have a good system to get you in and out considering their volume.

Boiling is always amazing but make sure you are there to pick it up on time cause the longer you wait the older it keeps getting on your ride home.

The best cajun style shrimp I've had so far plus there's a great asian bakery a few doors down definitely a must try restaurant!

I like to eat there when food is fresh and hot, takeout had some soggy shrimp like they mixed fresh with frozen, love this food

I used to always favor this restaurant against its competitors like The Kicking Crab, but have been deeply disappointed after picking up a togo-order for our recent at-home-celebrating New Year Eve. My wife and I didn't mind to wait for over 1 hour for our order, but the greater is the later frustration. The food was beyond recognition what it used to be. I don't have enough words to describe how betrayed we feel after being big fans of this restaurant. We swear it was our last ever order with Boiling Crab. We really feel betrayed, cheated badly by Boiling Crab. Tommy Vu

found a rock in shrimp bag on labor day and they refuse to take responsibility and take forever to respond to our messages- yes it was ordered through postmates but we did pick up so it was handed directly to us by their employees

It has been several years since I last dined here. I came during covid 19 quarantine takeout times. I placed my order via the phone to find out the pick up was in the actual restaurant. They had nice plastic shields for their employees. Customer service was great. Food was ready by the time I got there and the order was accurate. * they even offered me a first responder discount. Super nice. Thanks Guys!

I just ordered last night. It went great. My wife and I have three small kids so for the last 4-5 years I would say that 75% of the time we eat Boiling Crab it is to-go. It was always very fast and still hot and same great taste. After months of not having it due to COVID we finally decided to get food for one of our favorite places. I like to place the order in person so it is hot and fresh as possible. I arrived and noticed a sign on the "to go" location saying that to go orders will be taken at the main location which is just a few doors down. I went and the security guard (masked) confirms what I'm there for and directs me where to go inside. The set up is pretty good. As you may know the inside location is very large and now the entire space is dedicated to to-go orders. They had maybe 5 or so tables with glass for taking orders although only a couple customers at a time. The staff is all masked. You order, you pay, and they take down your cell number. You then go outside and they will text you when your order is ready. Mine took about 15-20 minutes. Then I told the security guard that I received a text, and he took my receipt and they just handed him the order and he gave it to me without me going back inside. Overall it was a very chill and clean operation. I felt safe and comfortable. Definitely worth it and I recommend going. I can't imagine a world without Boiling Crab. Please leave a nice tip for the take-out people. I would say at least 10-15%.

Charging an arm and a leg for frozen little critters. Gotta admit sauce is really good. Crazy how potatoes and corn cost a lot too. But if there's a demand they can charge whatever the heck they want haha. Not my cup of tea for bang for my buck. Got confused too when instructed to pick up at their to go place then getting redirected to their restaurant. Luckily not too far at all. They're not really keen at picking up their phone sometimes too.

I've always loved that we can skip the long lines and do take out. The way they set up for this location, given the times we are living, was truly exceptional. They have two people at the door making sure no one has to open the door or cross paths. It's really precautious and I felt safe. I always get the whole shebang xxx with my shrimp and sausage. I had chowder as well. Thank you for continuing to offer the same amazing taste and good quality of food. And last but not least, thank you to all the staff for being there and working so hard to make us shrimp eaters oh so happy.

Was very good and great easy service everyone seemed in good spirits. A bit spicier than the other location but might have just been a certain cook. Still enjoyed it a lot

Due to the Coronavirus things are changing and they didn't have tome to get a system down so I do understand. We ordered our food at 5pm over the phone. Their system was to have a line and have people respect 6ft distance but it was anything but. We didn't get our food till 7pm (2 hour wait) insane. So we were never told over the phone to arrive early to line up. The sweet potato fries were super cold. Our shrimp was cold. We finally got up to the front of the line and we were missing corn. I do hope they have a better system now.

This place always satisficed me whenever I'm craving for crawfish. I usually called their number to place take-out order ahead of time to avoid waiting time. The frozen crawfish is only $9/lb as of today, which is awesome. My favorite sauce is The whole Sha-bang which is all in one.
