Very dissapoint with the portion. I got the special combination but what i got is mostly carrot pickle and vegies. The cold cut is just 1 thin layer. Pate also being skim. There is no aroma from any of them. Just some taste and crunchy. No smell from pate, butter even the herb dont give much either. Order a sugar cane juice and it is $8 for stufpid drink. It not even big, only 1 squeeze is stupid idea. Squeeze as much as you need. U filter anyway so. U make the drink cost more and mostly wasteful ingredients. Not gonna come back anymore. There are much more place provide better banh mi with more portion.

They sell nice boxes if you feel like gifting a dozen or more Pate Chaud (which are good). They also have one of best Vietnamese baguettes in the area, no butter in the recipe as God intended. Not sure why every place is adding butter into their recipes.

Prices at this establishment seem overly inflated. Bought a small Cafe Sua Da for $5.00 while Lee's Sandwich across the street is $3.59. I recall the Banh mi prices being similarly expensive. Taste and service is no different, if not better, elsewhere. And no hordes of homeless in the parking lot.

A local friend who introduced us cafe and patecheaux which were tasted good. We used to make Cafe du Monde with condensed milk at home, Houston, TX. Patecheaux were tasted good much better than if I bought them from "Lee's sandwich" in Houston, TX. We wished the shop to allow customers to sit inside the shop for chit chat and drinking cafe together on that morning.. We stayed 5 nights in the local motel "Little Saigon Inn" next to this cafe sandwich shop.

I came here as per one of the recommendations from a Vietnamese FB Group. They haven't steered me wrong yet and in face I have been to many of their amazing recommendations and loved it. Tip Top Sandwich was not one of them!I ordered 2 meatball sandwiches, 2 dac biet (specialty) and a sugarcane drink.Meatballs were literally microwaved in front of me before going into my sandwiches. When I finally got the chance to eat it, there was way too much soy sauce used that it overpowered the whole sandwich which in turn made it a tad salty.Specialty had the usual as any other typical Vietnamese sandwich but the meats were lacking! Literally 1 sliced of meat each to just cover the sandwhich, they only had 2 types of meat, and the butter and pate was barely there.Sugarcane drink is the same as anywhere else in Garden Grove. Juice in a cup with a hint of kamquat/orange. Can't really mess it up if you tried.I noticed while I was waiting that other customer came in and only bought baguettes and now I know why.Baguette was the best part of my sandwich. Crunchy with a slight crackle when biting into em and soft and chewy. If I was to go back it would only be for their baguettes. The Sandwich shop isn't inviting from the outside and when you step inside it looked like it's glory days were for behind it. Only 1 of the 4 menu monitor were on. Had cables and wired dangling from walls and televisions that doesn't work. Supplies and boxes scattered on both sides of the shop.I wouldn't recommend this place for any Vietnamese sandwiches. For your money, you can get way better sandwiches for your money ie Pickle Banh Me, Carrot & Dikon and Banh Mi My Tho.Pros: Customer Service and Plain BaguetteCons: Sandwiches and inside the sandwich shop

A run down store… so sad! The place is dirty and looks like a storage room.i.e. Dirty recycle cans in a big trash bag is on the table and right at the serving area… will not come back to this place!

I used to buy baguettes at Boulangerie Pierre&Patisserie. They have good baguettes but the service sucks. They refuse to cut the sandwich for you. Never said hello. Sometimes you see the owners behind the counter, but they never acknowledged your presence, let alone greeting you. I now shop at Tip Top. The people who work there are always friendly. Sometimes their baguettes didn't rise fully for some reason and they would apologize and asked if you still want to buy them, and we would because they still taste pretty good.

Once upon a time this was a great place, it has changed for the worst. Box stacked to the ceiling,, place looks dirty. Menu has shrunk and the service stinks. I asked to use the restroom and I was told I could go to Target across the street. Wow, so I can't wash my hands before I eat?! They also over charged us for which they were very apologetic but, good thing I checked tab. Tip Top was my go to but not anymore.

i got the bbq pork sandwich and the first thing i noticed was that the bread was so fluffy on the inside but delicately crispy on the outside!! i think we all know that oftentimes, bahn mi bread can rip your mouth to shreds BUT not here! i and the MEAT! so thick but tender and perfectly marinated. 10/10!!!

The bread here is amazing, seriously amazing. Also, try the wintermelon drink, so yum. Almost forgot, patechaud, last time I was there, they had s special, but 6, get 1 free. Got them right as they were coming out of the oven. Perfectly flakey, just the way God intended it.

This is by far the best place for French baguettes. I used to go to Lee’s Sandwiches not knowing that there’s this place. They make bread like pros, and not the commercial type that would dry in a couple of hours, but lasts for at least a day. Freezing it would even last you for years, ?

In my quest for finding the best banh mi in OC I somehow missed this sandwich shop. The name doesn't have Banh Mi in it so I always thought it was a standard American style sandwich shop. Too bad I had been missing out - until now! Somehow this shop doesn't have very good reviews but I wanted to be thorough so I had to try it myself. I heard this place did sell banh mi after all from a friend of mine so I decided to try it out Baguette: wow the baguette has a great consistency, isn't too tough on the exterior where it punctures and scrapes the rough of your mouth like some others. If there isn't anything worse than that idk what is.. don't worry, there's at least one Yelper looking out for the roof of your mouth! Overall I give the baguette 5/5! I ordered the patiso in both pork and chicken and I'll say the chicken pretty much sucks (wasn't bad, just wasn't worth putting in my mouth). The pork though, that was as good as almost any is tried in the past. Def recommend having the pork patiso if you're already in for the banh mi. I tried the combination banh mi, garlic butter banh mi, lemongrass beef banh mi, and Chinese sausage (xa xiu) banh mi. They were all great. I'd say my favorite was the lemongrass beef and combination although the sausage one was surprisingly tasty as well. The combination one was well stuffed with a great balance of pickled veggies, meats, and butter/pate (made by them). If you're a fan of lemongrass I'd definitely recommend the beef sandwich! Finally, I did try their durian pennywort juice there but i don't think I'd recommend it. Loved the friendly service and mom and pop feel of the place. They do have some tables to eat there but the vibe doesn't feel like the right place to sit down there and eat so I'd plan on eating it elsewhere. Hope you find it worth a trip!

Banquette bread is a little high and chill environment but it's okay, I suppose.
