This is one of my favorite fish spots, however their time management needs to get better. They open at 11am from what is says on Google and their yellow menu. However, they don't answer the phone until 20 minutes later.This has been an ongoing issue since last year and it is not okay. If you need to increase your workers pay and hours to come in at 10:30am to already have the kitchen ready then please do so because that's awful to have people waiting after 11am to place an order that will take 15 minutes to be done.

Fish was fried perfectly. And the tarter sauce is to die for. Also amazing customer service. I'm definitely a new loyal customer.Just a heads-up contrary to what the picture shows they do not accept EBT (but don't let that stop you from giving them a try)

J Fish market is full of games. I been coming here for over a year now. I get off of work, at 7:20. I always call my order in and pick up at 7:30 Recently, they stopped answering their phone around this time, the last time you can call to place a phone order is 7:30, because they close at 8pm. I call my order in, no answer, I walk in at 7:30 (just like I did last week because they did not answer, it was no problem) and an older Latino man tells me we close at 7:30, when I know for a fact it's not true. I usually come once a week at 7:30, I been doing this for a year now. Now today; all of a sudden their door is wide open at 7:37 pm, their open sign is still on and yet their friers are off and they close at 7:30. I recommend you to to Super Fish Market in Inglewood, you are going to pay a little more maybe 3-4 dollars but the quality of the fish is much better and the workers are friendly and they actually appreciate you.
Fish and chicken was very good. I suggest you call in your order staff is very friendly.

A friend recommended this place to me and he said he never tried a "you buy, we fry" type of restaurant. It is located in a strip mall between a barber shop and another store. I went at night and it's very dark in the parking lot. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful gentleman. The menu is pretty straight forward and they have different side dishes (e.g., fresh fries, collard greens, hush puppies, potato salad and macaroni salad) and the combinations come with a roll. I ordered a side of 4 Jumbo Shrimp on the side. The first thing is the batter or coating on the fish and shrimp was very flavorful and crunchy. The fish and shrimp were fresh and the shrimp was properly cleaned. The hush puppies were fresh and did not taste like frozen ones I've had at other restaurants. The potato salad was fresh and tasty and I asked for a side of pickles, hot sauce, ketchup and tartar sauce. The whole dinner was so delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely come back and look forward to trying out the greens and macaroni salad. Don't let the outside or surrounding neighborhood fool you. Some of the best food is in unassuming places.

They have yet to disappoint. Local. And good. And they have Tiki Punch fresh fish, tasty oysters. And the tartar sauce be hitting too. One con though... they need to offer delivery or sign up for DoorDash or something.
