Ok..this place was The Bomb. Everything was tasty and flavorful. Love me some oxtails with peas and rice, especially when the tails aren't fatty. It's hard for me to choose between my j*** spots..how bout this, I don't choose..I just got back ups for my back ups when I want the taste of St Croix in LA.

This spot is the one I like best. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The crew is very affectionate and the food they cook is so appetizing. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Yum!!! Now I know what good caribbean food tastes like. This place has been bookmarked for a while now, and I finally had a chance to try it last night. The bf and I each ordered a j*** chicken plate, which came with plantains, rice and red beans, and potato salad and cabbage salad. We also ordered the duchuno (sp?), which is their version of a tamal, but with sweet corn instead of meat. Everything we had was delicious and the customer service (we ordered in person) was exceptional. Sadly, the employee informed us that Mars will be closing within the next two weeks. I'll be returning before they do, and I suggest you give it a try if you haven't already!

Ordered food from here for the first time today. We have been passing it for years and finally decided to try. We got ox tails, stew beef, j*** chicken and a sampler appetizer. The food was great! It was so flavorful and delicious. Only complaint is the ox tails were kinda fatty. But they had great service over the phone and inside the restaurant. We will definitely be going back.

They reduced their portion size drastically and it just can't justify the $18 oxtail meal. I was very disappointed when I returned home to realize I drove an hour for half the portion I use to get. They lost a over $500 a year in just one customer trying save a buck.

In my years of relocating from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, it is clear you don't move here for the cuisine and most Angeleans will debate this to death, especially the ones who haven't left their neighborhood, let alone their county, sorry, this I'm still trying to process. If you've seen my past Reviews on Caribbean restaurants, it's been quite a journey. Mars, is the most authentic Caribbean food I have found and can satisfy the palate of any Caribbean person no matter where you're from. it is absolutey delicious well-made and feels like it's a home-cooked meal from your grandmother. The only reason I have given them four stars because their seafood portion is ridiculously overpriced.
