Authentic Chinese selections. Marinated pig ear, wood ear, chicken feet and so many cold selections. Made to order noodles, dim sum wrappers, and a wide variety of soups and small plates. Even though the owner opened up a location close to my work in El Segundo, we all still drive out to the gardena location and everyone agrees it's well worth the time.

I stopped here searching for some dim sum style foods. The won tons in chili sauce were great, pan fried dumplings were amazing, but the star of the show was the beef roll. It was so crispy and delicious with nice fresh cilantro. The juicy dumplings were fine but definitely got outshined by the rest of the meal.This is a good hidden gem.

OMG! I ordered the cucumber salad, scallion pancakes and the juicy soup dumplings!! Wow. Just wow! This was so good. I ate ALL the dumplings myself - lol! I cannot wait to go back. I could eat this everyday!

I usually don't write reviews, even when I highly recommend a place and perhaps praise a business, but what happened earlier today with my order was... super unfortunate.Firstly, a business must prioritize quality control, especially when it comes to the CLEANLINESS of their food. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a highly anticipated shrimp fried rice for my brother, ended up having a rather long and obvious string of hair in it. Immediately, even before opening the lid to the dish, I spotted the hair stuck to the inside of the plastic, and couldn't believe I was really experiencing such a cliché inconvenience lol.And, honestly, having previously worked in a fast-paced cafe environment, I didn't entirely condemn the idea of ordering from this place again, because I understand that accidents happen. However, I only briefly had that notion until I'd been totally dismissed by not one but TWO of this location's workers, over the phone. They didn't hesitate to blame Uber(Eats) for the incident, even though the driver usually has nothing to do with the preparation and packaging of the orders they deliver. Plus, if you really cared about the quality of the food you serve and the satisfaction of your customers, from what I've learned working in the food industry, you must act quickly to show some kind of remorse— I mean, REALLY?? Not even a refund for the shrimp fried rice dish out of the whole order. That'll be my first and last time trying out this location from this rather satisfactory restaurant chain. I'm super disappointed.

Went there for the first time yesterday. Excellent service. Warm and cozy atmosphere like eating at home. Food was awesome! A lot of varieties on their menu. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles, Spicy Hand Pulled Noodle Soup With Beef, and Pork Xiao Long Bao. Everything was perfect and we loved all three dishes. Their noodles were made fresh order by order. They were bouncy and got the al dente texture. We were seated right away when we got there. It took about 15 mins before our food came out. We enjoyed watching them hand-pull and hand-cut the noodles fresh in the kitchen. Comparing Northern Cafe to Din Tai Fung, I enjoyed the food at Northern Cafe a lot more. The items on their menus are pretty similar. There was no crazy long wait line here. I will definitely come back here again!Parking: There're plenty of free parking spaces. But you may find it a little difficult to find one if you come during dinner time because there're a lot of restaurants in this plaza.
