Nothing was exciting to me. Food was meh. Ordered fajitas and it was just ok. There was a musician facing the bar, I could only hear him.

They are always consistent with her meals. We usually order takeout. It's always delicious I love the tacos, my husband orders the patron and my son love the flautas. Never disappoints! I realy hope shrink flation doesn't get to this restaurant one of our favorites!

Food is decent, not our favorite Mexican spot in Gilroy. That said the staff is friendly & hard working & the cocktails are good. They've got so many different margaritas. The pomegranate 1 is good!Parking: There's parking in front & in the back.

We have been eating here since probably 2009. Figured it was time to write a review. The food, drinks, and service are always excellent. Things got dodgy thru COVID, but La Hacienda made it through. Let’s hope they stay open for years to come.

I think Gilroy's is the best Mexican food.

Chips were not bad wish the salsa was spicy because what’s the point of having salsa if it’s not spicy. Well at least that’s my opinion. Rice and beans could have more flavor. They were just basic. The reason we will never return is because the bartender was rude. We told him the ladies restroom was clogged. Instead of saying let me get someone to help. He said “that’s not my job”.Overall the restaurant has a great look but their food could be more authentic.

Food was good, the hole in the wall place gives it the charm . The server Alfredo on the other hand is probably the worst. Doesn't seem to understand or comprehend anything. There's an absent look in his face when asking us to serve us.

I actually like this place. Food comes out at a decent time. Every server we've had have been attentive and nice. I think this place has the best rice and beans in Gilroy. My fav is the shrimp a La Mexicana. It's full of flavor

I had lunch on Saturday. Not sure but the whether they have new cooks? Portions are smaller than usual. I had flautas, beans, rice. Rice was half scoop, beans were last nights leftovers! Flautas were so small and barley had chicken I guess I will have to drive to Salinas, to have better Mexican food. Sad since I live close to La Hacienda!

I am so sad to have to write this review. My husband and I have been loyal customers for over three years. We eat there every Friday and order the same thing every week. Last Friday, I went to La Hacienda to pick up my take-out order. I waited inside the restaurant for over 15 minutes before someone came to speak. I rang their bell and everything. Finally, after 20 minutes, I received my food. I took it back home and started cutting my burrito. Inside was something that wasn't food. It was a rope or something. It was disgusting. I almost puked. I called the restaurant, and the manager, manuel, told me to come in and he would refund my money. My daughter was sick then, so my husband and mother went. Manuel was rude to them and didn't believe I found the weird thing in my burrito. He told me I needed to return with the burrito so he could see it. In other words, he was calling my mother in later. He then asked me why I didn't come in if it was my burrito, and I explained that I was home with my sick daughter. Anyway, I returned with my husband and was shocked by how we were treated. He told me that he couldn't refund my money. He asked me why I took the thing out of the burrito and why I didn't just leave it there. He was so condescending to us. He went back and forth with us even though he knew we were loyal customers. He didn't believe the object came from the burrito and thought we put it there. He told me he could make me another burrito, and I told him I didn't want food from you after what I pulled out of my burrito. I asked him if he would eat another burrito if this happened to him, and he didn't answer the question. I have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant before. I got no apology for having an object in my food. He used hand gestures to signal for us to keep coming with our complaints. We will never be going back there. I hope everyone thinks twice about eating at this restaurant since they never owned up to having objects in their food and treated their loyal customers like trash I have attached a picture that doesn't do it justice on how gross it was

I gave it 3 stars, but this place, in my opinion, could easily hit 5 stars for me. All the meats are wonderfully seasoned, and the rice and beans have great flavor and perfect texture. What's missing for me is the application of ingredients. The chimichanga and the burrito felt like 70% tortilla and had almost nothing but a small helping of meat inside. If it either had a more generous amount of meat or other fillings inside, it would be contender for the best Mexican food in gilroy.Parking: Small parking lot
