The food is DELICIOUS. I come for tacos chicken or carne asada almost weekly. The service is quick and always accurate. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating for small or large parties. I love this location because it is not noisy but always respectfully quiet. I like my tacos plain however they accommodate toppings you ask for.

First time here and I tried the sopes with Al pastor and carne asada. The food was tasty and the red salsa made the food tastier. Give this spot a shot. Clean location and good Mexican food.

I liked how they made the burrito. Could have been seasoned a little bit more, had to add some salt to it. But really good burrito. The salsa that they give you on the side was REALLY good. Got a veggie burrito too and that to me was even better even tho same burrito, only different is one had chicken.

Decided to have some tacos today two of tripa and two of al pastor tacos are always fire and really hit the spot I haven't had anything go wrong with el Grullense... First time at this location there horchata is pretty good as well

Stopped by for a quick bite on our way to gilroy gardens. The service was quick and friendly . We did not have to wait very long to get our delicious food. The chorizo tacos were my favorite. We'll be back next time we're in town

Not sure what happened to this place. It was one of the best spots in Gilroy back in the day. The carne asada is boiled, grey and rubbery with zero flavor. The tacos are small with a pinch of meat and for some reason always cold. I guess today was the last time I get food here. The food is the same at all locations in Gilroy so it's must be there standard of food.

Quick service, they cook up the tacos in view so you know what you're getting, prompt service and wasn't busy. Perfect place to pick up some quick tacos while waiting for a car wash across the street

My family has believed that for years El Grullense was not the place to spend your money but today I decided to give it another chance after not having eaten there for several years and our opinion still remains the same. I was shocked by the pricing, y'all are robbing people of their money charging so much for mediocre food. The quality of food definitely doesn't warrant those prices. Save your money, better options are La Flor De Jalisco and Super Taqueria.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered nachos through door dash and look at what I received. No tomatoes, no jalapeños, & no sour cream. It literally says what the nachos include and they didn't include it. Extremely disappointed because now I have to place an order from elsewhere and wait again for my food. Maybe if I wasn't pregnant and hungry, I'd be more understanding of this mistake. I should have just ordered Taco Bell. Estos son los nachos que sirven en este restaurante. No se si quisieron ser chistosos o que, pero estos no son nachos. Que tristeza me da que ya ni se puede encontrar un restaurante que sepa cocinar bien. Mejor vayan al Taco Bell.

If I could leave zero star review I would.. I asked for 3 tacos and 2 of the tacos a bit extra toasty for type of meat I ordered. He said ok, asked if we wanted our tacos with everything, I said yes. I got my tacos and one was pure fat & the other two were almost raw.. meat not even cooked fully after asking for it to be cooked extra time, tacos had no salsa nor cilantro just chunks of onion on top. I asked the guy for cilantro he said "I didn't add more because people complain that it has too much" so I told him, can I please have more cilantro. He gave a a plate of ONION. Literally no green color of the cilantro.. At this point I said thank you because I didn't want to be rude and went to sit. After waiting for my child to finish eating her taco, she wanted to get some toys from their machine, we got 1$ in quarters, the machine ate the coins giving no toy back, I went to let them know. He said "can't do anything and walked away" Never going back ever again. This used too be a pretty good place, it's trash now

This is the home of The largest mediocre burrito I have ever eaten. It was so bad. And expensive! Not a good combo. I really don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel like this one is justified. I unfortunately did not even bother checking the yelp page before stopping in here on a road trip to gilroy with the family for the Halloween event @ gilroy gardens. We where just hungry from driving and wanted something easy! I will say that the restaurant was VERY clean and the staff was nice enough. I wouldn't say helpful but nice enough. No complaints in that department like some other reviews. But the place was empty which should have been a red flag because I was there at like 5pm. A good taqueria should at least have some customers in line or waiting. The super burritos where over $13 each which I already felt was way to steep to spend on a place I haven't even checked thier yelp, but I went against my better judgement and ordered anyways. After all its probably just expensive because of covid raising most restaurants meat prices right? I ordered the lengua super burrito and my wife ordered chicken. First off, and mainly the only reason I am writing this review.. was they gave me a humongous monstrosity that wasn't even wrapped!. They plopped both of my wife and my burrito in a plastic bag.. no wrapping! Then they just threw napkins on top. Tied it up and called it a day.. I was in such a hurry that I didn't even check or I would have refused to take it and demanded my money back! This practice is just disrespectful to your customers who spend their hard earned money.The lengua was tasteless and bland. I had already driven to our destination before I even knew so I ate them anyways. They were just terrible. The burritos kept falling apart and the proportions where all off. So much rice and lettuce. It wasn't gross. Just bland. Which is almost worse. My wife said the chicken itself wasn't the worse tasting but the lengua was not good. Maybe burritos aren't their thing? I have read some positive reviews on their tacos. Will I ever give them a chance to prove that in the future? No. Definitely no.
