Glendale is known for so many excellent Mediterranean cuisine restaurants. So when my husband and I saw this new place open, and so close to home that we could walk to, to save on delivery fees, we finally tried it. I pretty much always order the lula beef kabob plate, and my husband always orders the steak and chicken kabob plate. They didn't have that combo. So he ordered their chicken shawarma plate. The Charcoal Kitchen advertised that their plates come with whatever meat you order, plus a salad, hummus and garlic sauce. My husband picked up our order and both of orders didn't have any garlic sauce, which we love and look forward to. I ordered the beef lula kabob plate and got the steak kabobs instead. The steak was not flavorful, dry and tough. My husbands order was correct, except he ordered the chicken shawarma, but to me just tasted like a boring kabob. Nothing shawarma about it. The salad was tons of onion flavor and no tang or salt. The hummus was the worst I've ever tasted. Grainy and not smooth and creamy. I'm sorry Charcoal Kitchen but you need to step it up way more. As far as the phone customer service goes, it was good. When my husband showed up to pick up, he asked for a slice of chocolate cake, someone who worked there advised that it was stale and to come back in the morning when it's fresh. I know the place is really small with no tables inside, and only outside. Which is fine, since we live in HELL-A! P.S. I'd still like to try their beef lula kabob.

Ordered the kabob, beef, chicken, potatos, hummus, salad. All of it was fire. I loved it. Definitely will come back again.

Finds like this are why I value Yelp, and why I contribute. Absolutely excellent food. Excellent value! I forgot to take a pic of my chicken shawarma meal but never mind--it looked exactly like the restaurant's pics. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, chopped and served over rice. The hummus was wonderfully garlicky and the salad was fresh. All of it was fresh and just so good. The server (counter service) was super friendly and even gave me a small ice cream soft serve to help me pass the ten minutes while I waited for the food prep. The space isn't anything special--really just designed for counter service and takeout but they do have a table and a few stools if you want to eat there. I brought it back to my hotel and it was still hot and fantastic. I am in this neighborhood every few months and will definitely return.

I tried their cucumber and carrots salads which were tasty. Employees were friendly. Enjoy their outdoor seating options.

HSo, I usually get my tacos from Aztca, but recently, I stumbled upon the restaurant on the corner and decided to give it a shot. I must say, it was quite a disappointing experience. I was really looking forward to trying their charcoal cooked kabobs, but unfortunately, they turned out to be quite mediocre. It was a bit of a bummer, I have to admit. I guess sometimes it's best to stick with what we know and love , example of mini kabobs and massif kabob ! Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts. Hope you find thjs heplful

Food was good! I ordered the beef lula and my gf ordered the chicken shawarma. Definitely liked the chicken shawarma better-- it's had excellent flavor and texture. The couple(owners) were so hospitable and helpful! Would eat here again!

Recently, I noticed this restaurant and decided to stop. Inside, there's a small space to order and seat, but they have outdoor spaces, too. Food is throughly cooked, and there's no fat particles in the food that most restaurants do. Overall, this is my new spot to stop by.

Delicoous family owned small business. Juicy chicken kebab plate. Comes with fluffy rice, hummus, mini tomato cucumber salad, Armenian Lavash bread, and a Armenian style dipping salsa for the chicken too! Price is reasonable for the area and the amount of food given. They are located right next to Taco Azteca. Parking is street. They have out door patio dining.Support small business l.

Man this place is good . I just finished my lamb chops plate the charcoal greatly enhances the experience and taste . I also got a side of roasted tomatoes which made it all even better. The guys were cool , they fired up the grill and cooked my meal fresh . Worth every penny will be back again!

We ordered plates from here and really loved the taste. The employees were also very friendly in helping us choose what to get since it was our first time there. I highly recommend this place and will be back again.
