I was at Karas with my family and we really enjoyed our time there. We ordered many different dishes and they were all perfect. The servers were nice and polite, and the service was done at a high level.

I dined at this place and the server/ manager was culturally insensitive. I dined with four other women and we all ordered meals after receiving our meal the server/manager returned to the table and asked if we would have like ranch or hot sauce. Being that we are African American and implying that we would prefer such condiments to accompany the meal was very offensive!! To assume that we would’ve wanted those items was offensive. We did not want the items and I was very offended. I asked the server/manager to return to the table and asked him why he asked us the question. He’s said because one of us had fries. I told him that wasn’t appropriate. He informed me it wasn’t a big deal. This response was dismissive which left me feeling more offended. I live in Glendale and this was my first time at this restaurant. I was excited to try a new place with friend and unfortunately this was a ver disappointing experience. I don’t recommend the server/manager. Proceed with caution when planning to dine here.

Do not bring your family to dine in here.We had a bad experience on January 7th 2024. Me and my husband went in the evening to spend some time and eat. The whole restaurant was almost empty and we sat in the corner by the window. Then 6 teenage boys came and were sat right next to us by the waiter, who was an Asian-Russian speaking person. Not only there was plenty of space and he could have made them sit to let the couple have some privacy, but the boys were loud and obnoxious. They were talking extremely loudly, and were talking from their seat to the people who were making the food. It felt we came to somebody else's party. Not only that, more of the boys' friends kept coming to the point where they blocked our exit from our seats. I am not blaming the boys because they are young and they do not care, however, we are blaming the waiter who did not handle this situation professionally. He let his costumers feel uncomfortable the whole time and not do anything about it. When we had to leave, we were forced to push the whole table to be able to leave. So, we will not be returning there anymore, even though we used to come here every once in a while.

Lovely atmosphere on the corner in downtown Glendale. I went straight for the dishes that I didn't recognize and was not disappointed. AMAZING pastry-wrapped savory dishes, Armenian wine, appetizers, and other drinks. Never had service this good in Glendale, Baglan was our server, SO gracious and helpful, answered all our questions and made perfect wine suggestions. You NEED to check this place out if you're tired of the same old Mediterranean dishes. Will return soon with friends and family!Kid-friendliness: I see kids and families here all the time.
