New Moon was AWESOME! This was our first time here... it was a suggestion of our Aunty that we met up with. Her and her brother's family had been coming here for years, and we totally see why. The food is AMAZING, and Jeremiah is super cool! His dessert suggestions were spot on. We definitely plan on bringing our family here in the future.

Our waitress Becca was very attentive for a first-time visit! Authentic Chinese food, large portions served. Try the plum wine!? Thank you Becca! I hope I spelled your name correctly ?

The main dishes are great, but the fried won ton strips are always too greasy, like the oil wasn't hot enough when they were frying and the sweet sauce they serve with them always has a moldy taste.

We were regulars at the Valencia New Moon location so when they closed a couple of years ago, we were sad. We haven't found another Chinese restaurant in the SCV since that compares. Our son lives in Upland and when we recently made plans to meet him halfway for lunch, we just had to go to the Montrose spot. The food was just as good as we remembered: crispy Hunan garlic sole, wonton soup and dragon beef. The staff was just as attentive even though they had multiple big parties that were going on. All in all, we had a great experience much like what we used to get at the old place. Makes me wish they'd return to the SCV!

Been here now a few times and I must say how much I like it here! I've also been to the DTLA and now closed Valencia location but no matter where I go, their food is always amazingly consistent and delicious- meaning "fantastic" every time I visit. The bar area is spacious/comfortable and parking is easy! The choices they have for HH is above par and the portions are good. I ordered the original Chinese chicken salad and it never disappoints. They also have gluten-free options so ask your server. Their whisky selection is top-shelf and the bar/wait staff is amazing! I've got to meet Alan, Josh, Jade & Ryan and they are professional, friendly, attentive and fun! I always look forward to my next visit so please stop in the next time you're looking for sone great food and an exciting day.

We always enjoy the food at New Moon, it is our go-to Chinese restaurant. The service is always good and the food is delicious. My only complaint is that all their food is served family style in large portions, which is fine if you have a group, but when my husband and I go, we like different things, so with us each ordering items we like it creates LOTS of leftovers. They do have a lunch menu on weekdays, with a two-item combo of a starter and a main, and of course, rice. It is still quite a bit of food and I always have leftovers from lunch too, but I guess that is par for the course for restaurants these days.

Great food, service, decor and everything else you would want or expect from a restaurant. I love their won ton soup, Chinese chicken salad, shrimp and every and all their food items. Go there and enjoy every morsel of food!

We finally went back tonight and it was a completely different experience than our previous visit. Our waiter James was friendly and professional. The service was quick. What a difference good service makes. We had Shrimp with Walnuts, Mongolian Beef, Chicken with Basil and Braised Green Beans. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. We will be back.
