Staff is kind and so I hate to leave this review, but unfortunately, this food is significantly overpriced (a real shame because it's across from a college campus and I imagine they predominantly serve college students), their portions are small, and the food just isn't very good. I ordered the chicken katsu - the chicken itself was decent. The salad was inedible. :/

Nasty nasty! They did not wear gloves while handling food, they touch money and then handle food, the food was in no way worth it. Eat cereal instead and save $

I don’t think it’s called Boil Daddy anymore but the signs are still up. I walked in with low expectations and let me tell you- I was blown away. Some of the best Chicken Katsu I have ever eaten. Chicken was tender and juicy, crust was crisp, light and cooked to perfection. The only thing this place needs is a little atmosphere.

Found this place because I get off work late and boiling crab is a pain in the ass when it comes to taking people an hour before they close. Anyways was having my monthly Cajun shrimp craving and yelp showed me this neat spot. I had the fisherman's lunch and I mean it when I say the seasoning is spot on and it was made with love. There was one guy doing everything and was apologizing because he had to finish making the last order to take mine. Broke my heart but I respect him for keeping the ship afloat. 10/10 must try at least once.

This was the worst shrimp boil I've ever had. The shrimp bag smelled like dirty beach towels, like dirty long beach ocean water, like expired seafood... it was so overwhelming I could taste it. I second guest the smell and tried the potato, then continued to a shrimp. Every shrimp was mushy and fell apart like watery mashed potatoes when I tried pulling off the head and tail. It smelled horrible. After finding over 5 of these mushy smelly shrimp, i realized the shrimp had spoiled. Maybe it was sitting out too long and went unused , I don't know, but this was disgusting. I don't expect this quality of food for the price I paid for. We just tossed both bags in the trash. I was sick from my stomach for 2 days & so was the other person who tried some from their own bag of shrimp and muscles.I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I stumbled upon this seafood place on Postmates and was immediately drawn in by their tempting offer of buy 1 get 1 free. This deal was too good to pass up, so I decided to give them a try for takeout. The food exceeded my expectations. Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared, capturing the essence of quality seafood. The portions were generous, and the deal made it even more satisfying, as it felt like getting a premium dining experience at a fraction of the cost. Ordering through Postmates was a breeze, and the delivery was prompt, ensuring that the food arrived still hot and fresh. The convenience of having such delicious seafood delivered right to my door was a big plus. Based on this experience, I will definitely order from them again. Their combination of delicious food and great deals makes them a standout choice for seafood lovers. If you're in the mood for some delectable seafood without leaving your home, this is the place to order from. Highly recommended!

Two Flavors, One Feast: A Delicious Takeout Adventure Craving a taste of culinary chaos mixed with Tokyo tranquility? Buckle up for a virtual feast from The Boil Daddy, quickly rushed home after our order and packaged in eco-friendly boxes - no need for fancy tablecloths or plastic bibs (unless you really want to!). The Boil Daddy is Glendale's answer to a Cajun mosh pit, a neon-lit bacchanal where plastic bibs are your armor and crustacean carnage is the main event. The air in this immaculately intimate restaurant explodes with a heady perfume of garlic, cayenne, and that undeniable shellfish aroma - a symphony for the senses that begs to be devoured, not politely admired. We dove headfirst into a feast fit for Poseidon himself: lobster tails, king crab legs glistening like jeweled batons, and juicy shrimp, all tangled in a glorious mess of corn and potatoes - no plump sausages needed in this take out (maybe next time). But the star of the show? The Daddy Sauce, a fiery concoction equal parts liquid courage and Cajun alchemy, guaranteed to have you sweating like a sinner in church, but every searing drop is a hallelujah chorus on your tongue. The seafood? Cooked to juicy perfection, shells slick with that glorious sauce, begging to be pried open and devoured like barbarians at a Roman feast. And just when you think you've reached peak culinary chaos, enter Muzen, a menu tucked away in The Boil Daddy's back pocket. This Tokyo oasis whispers flavors that'll leave you humming "Tokyo Nights" under your breath. Here, the menu reads like a haiku, short and sweet, but the flavors pack a wallop. I dove into the Beef Belly Curry, a slow-braised ballad of melt-in-your-mouth beef waltzing in a rich, dark broth that whispers secrets of light chili heat and ginger. It's the kind of dish that makes you lick the biodegradable packaging (shame be damned!), singing along to the silent karaoke of your taste buds. So there you have it. Two faces of the same coin in one location, united by a deep respect for good, honest food and the people who create it. The Boil Daddy, a raucous Cajun mosh pit where you shed your inhibitions and dive headfirst into a primal feast. And Muzen, a Tokyo haiku whispered in the back alley, a quiet pocket of comfort food that punches you in the gut with umami. Both menus, as different as a Zydeco breakdown from a Zen koan, but both leaving you with the same feeling: satisfied, slightly sweaty, and ready to do it all over again. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a pile of napkins and a bottle of Riesling. But trust me, this culinary double date, is worth every messy, glorious bite. P.S. While Bobby, the culinary evangelist who orchestrated our first time experience at the Boil Daddy's location in Glendale, exceeded the combined services of a cook, waiter, and sauce sommelier. Here's what stood out to us about Bobby's service: Generosity with premium seafood: Going the extra mile to provide the best pieces of lobster and king crab demonstrates genuine care and attention to detail. Speed and efficiency: Having everything ready just over 16 minutes is impressive, especially being a one man brigade. Proactive sauce tasting: Letting you sample the sauces before making a decision shows great customer service and ensures you get a dish you'll truly enjoy. Engaging personality: A great personality makes the dining experience even more enjoyable and memorable. We're definitely returning to this mosh pit - bon appétit!

While it's a tad bit expensive, the Boil Daddy has saved me on multiple work potluck occasions, and has been a winner each time! I usually just order 2 qty of 1lbs peel shrimp with their original sauce and no spice (in case people cannot handle spice). There usually aren't any leftovers, so that's always a good sign! I get in the office in the morning, order either directly through their website, or through a delivery service, (I've done both ways and both worked fine!), and schedule delivery for the desired time. This works out really well since I don't have the flexibility to leave the office to pick it up. I think that as long as I work in the area, I'm happy to make this place my go-to potluck dish!
