Great little place in Glendale with deliciously prepared food and wonderful owner. Unfortunately the restaurant has closed after years of service.

Varouj Kabob’s is comparable to the one you make yourself at home and if I can say better than your own grilled Kabobs. Have been eating there from the day it was opened at the same location by my Dear good friend the Late Varouj and His graceful wife Vartoug. Best Kabobs variety prepared by order Best Chikoefte Large variety of appetizers from Hummus to Moutabbal and Tabboule to Mouhammara and the list goes on.

This place is the bomb!! My favorite kabobs in Glendale! The filet kabob is my favorite but you can't go wrong with the chicken either. And don't get me started on the rice and hummus. Everything is authentic and delicious. Family-owned by the nicest people. Great easy weekend takeout option. You gotta try it!

Didnt like the atmosphere nor the service today. On a Saturday lunch hour with a table of 13 ladies one older lady was serving us without her proper waitress clean attire. The service was slow, as if she was doing us a favor, hummus is terrible, and the moutabal missing lemon, yuk...I don't know how such places exist and last...and overpriced ...I will never go there again...the waitress would not even take credit card..come onnn...

Really enjoyed the Armenian food here! The cheese boreg was not the typical triangles but rather were circular sticks. To be honest I expected the portion sizes to be much bigger, but the food was still tasty. The little ladies that cooked the food were adorable and reminded me of my grandma. The pilaf wasn't bad, and the hummus was delicious. Only drawback was the portion size and the lack of air conditioning.

Great family joint. We drive up from Rowland Heights every so often. Very small, only a few tables. Popular with that area.

I was visiting Glendale and it is known for great Armenian food which I love! I had the lamb chops which was really good bc it was so tender and grilled perfectly. It came with a salad, hummus appetizer and pita bread to start. On the actual lamb chop dish, it had grilled aroma tomato and a big green chile! It also was served over a bed of rice pilaf with what looked like small strands of vermicelli noodles mixed in. It was all good!

Came here with my family and friends on Sunday for dinner. According to their hours online, they're open until 8. We arrived to a closed restaurant. We checked their hours on the sign posted on the windows and there weren't any, talk about a lack of commitment.

Steak kebabs were fine too and we got a combo plate so also had ground meat kebabs. These were all good but I do like it spicier even and more spices to shine through. I would also suggest adding sumac over the meats and rice which would enhance the dish even more. They did get my order wrong. Instead of eggplant where she even said the word, we got grape leaves. She said they are well known for their grape leaves dish and it was very good. So it was all good! Oh and loved the romantic Julio Iglesias music they put on too- made it a romantic dinner- all that was missing was the actual Julio Iglesias!!!

This is a great spot to go get your kabob fix! The food is delicious! I personally really also enjoyed the appetizers and sides like humus, mohamara, boreg, and sarma. All of the meats are great, including the louleh, filet, and chicken! They also offer filet fries that are as amazing as they sound! It has a homey feel and the family that owns it is very nice/attentive. I recommend this spot to anyone who would like authentic Armenian food. I'll definitely be back!
