I used to like this place, but like most places here in Grass Valley many of the restaurants have gone downhill due to the types of people they hire to work in these places. Recently, me and my daughter had gone in for a quick pick up after her hospital visit and she wanted their nachos. Unfortunately, when we got it home only 3 blocks away, she opened the clear plastic cover containing her nachos only to find a mosquito or gnat stuck in the nacho cheese sauce!! I took it back immediately and the kind of response I got from the manager and employee was so rude, like how dare I come in with a complaint. Is this how you run your restaurant?? I just wanted my money back with the promise of never returning to this location! Don't get me wrong, Jimboys is good, but not this one! Try the location in Roseville by the Gallria Mall and you'll taste and feel the difference in the quality of food! Even the taco truck trailor parked at the car wash across the street is better than this place! Disgusting!!!! Get your act together!

I came to eat with 6 of my FREIND yesterday. We arrived at 7:³pm. The door was locked. All the employees looked at me and turned their heads away from ME. Really un-cool Joel. Won't be eating here again.

I really like their ground beef tacos! I visited today...Feb. 15th...see receipt. They have a drive thru and plenty of seating inside the restaurant. If you want to enjoy the different salsas in the salsa bar then you need to go inside. I rhink its some kind of parm that they put on the outside of the tacos. Whatever it is makes them special! Plenty of ground beef and wallet friendly! I enjoyed the salsa bar...hot and mild salsas along with jalapeños, onions, cilantro and limes. Liked the hot and Chipotle the best. They offer self serve sodas and bottled beer as well. Its clean inside and the employees are friendly. Isabel took my order and she was friendly and courteous! I am glad i went into the restaurant instead of the popular drive thru because it was relaxing inside and i could try their salsa bar. They provide small plasric containers to put your salsa in. Great experience!

For some reason I always forget about this place. I think they’re a huge step up from the other drive thru taco fast food restaurant in town. I love their ground beef tacos with Parmesan and tried their taquitos which were delicious! Their mild green salsa is awesome, too!

I was on a road trip and stopped here. Took food to go. The carnitas tacos were amazing. I was about 20 highway miles away when I ate my last one, and I seriously thought about turning around and going to get more. Salsa bar has good options. Highly

I just finished their Stuffed Chicken Quesidilla. WOW! LIGHTLY SIMMERED ,FLaky Tortilla, great combo of cheese. Not to much, and the sauce, excellent!... I have eaten at other places and Never had a quesidilla this good.and the sprinkling of parmesean is an excellent touch.. What a great cook! Sorry no photo, I could not put it down.Vegetarian options: I normally order their Tahoe Veggie Burrito. But figured I would try the stuffed quesidilla.I'm sure you could get it w/out meat if you ask. They held the bacon on my meal...

I've been this Jimboys twice. The first time the tacos were inedible, meat was either old, overcooked or both. The taco shells were undercooked and the produce was old. Tried it again yesterday. The tacos were fair, the meat was still a bit overcooked, the shells and produce were acceptable. But the beef burrito was TERRIBLE!!! The flour tortilla was stiff, almost stale and the meat was disgusting. Additionally I asked for "light" cheese...there was none. So I guess I got close to what I asked for. I've been to at least 7 different Jimboys in Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn and Sacto. Never had food as bad as the GV franchise.
