“I first ate at J's kitchen when it was still at the mall. I had chicken adobo and liked it. Today was my first visit to its own restaurant and ordered chicken curry with a Taro drink recommended by my friendly server. Food and drink were very good. The curry sauce was, as advertised, both sweet and spicy. The chicken chunks were tender. The Taro drink kept giving me throat freeze, though, so finishing my meal took a bit. I walked in shortly after 11am. I was the first sit-down customer. I like the pastel purple interior and the space (I remember when this was the Beef Baron in the 1980s). My window seat was very comfortable. A radio station was playing in the background. Got to listen to a Tracy Chapman song. Crowds started coming in an hour later as I was leaving.“

“Was in town visiting my mil . Was trying to pick up fresh tortillas so I used my handy yelp app and this place popped up . Yelp did not let me down!! I picked up corn tortillas , tortilla chips & 3 tacos. 2 carnitas & 1 pastor . Carnitas was absolutely delicious!! Corn tortillas were the best ever. Super fresh & soft . All of their sauces were bomb . I will definitely be back when I'm in the area .“

I look for places that are not your cookie cutter run of the mill restaurants, Well that is this place, one of my new favorites, and truly one of the best places in town to enjoy. If you come here and can not enjoy/appreciate the taste of this amazing food well you better go to the Dr as your taste buds may need to be tested. If you come to this place and don’t feel totally relaxed, Maybe you should seek counseling as your too up tight, shoot get a beer and relax, as you need to open your mind to what a true authentic place to decompress and enjoy your inner foodie is. “We hired Debbie and Martin to cater our fathers funeral/memorial for approximately 100 people and they were so accommodating, professional, lovely to work with, etc. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing, and also fun. I added umbrellas and a 30' tent the day before and without missing a beat, they accommodated. i didn't have to worry about anything. We knew we were in good hands in such an emotional time for our family. I would highly recommend and hire them for any future event.“

“I'd like to start off by saying I work for VTC Enterprise. If you have the opportunity, take the time to go to VTC and enjoy some good wholesome food at the "A" Street Cafe. It's delicious! The staff are nice, they're attentive and eager to welcome you and please, please come and try it. It's good wholesome food. You can also get it to go. When my husband and I go, we feel comfortable, it's welcoming and we enjoy it!“

“Taco Man Express catered our party for 130 people, and they did an amazing job. They were prompt, courteous, and most importantly the tacos were incredibly good. Numerous guest said these were the best tacos they ever had! I am very pleased with their service and highly recommend them. The price was excellent, too- lower than other comparable taco caterers.“
