Placed an order for a cake to be picked up at 11:00 am. Arrived around 11:10 and the cake still wasn't ready. I was told to come back in an hour to pick up. What is the purpose of scheduling a pick up time if the item I purchase is not ready? Not only that but the person working at the front tried to persuade me to change my order to a different cake or get a refund. I was running short on time because this cake was specifically ordered for a birthday so I didn't have a choice but to keep the order. But if I had known ahead of time, I would not order my cake from here. Fast forward, picked up the cake around 1:30 pm and the cake was ready. But the layers inside the cake was frozen and difficult to eat. Guess it was not defrosted long enough. Cake was kept in a freezer prior to pickup.

Ordered a hot drink and when it was done, it was made cold. I know it's not an ordering mistake because it says HOT right on the label. When I told the cashier she said I can just microwave it. WTF? Edit: To Beverly, who responded "Our associates will happily remake your drink if it is not correct." This was the problem - they basically told us to F off, so definitely not "happily." I don't want your team to make it right for us monetarily or with another drink. Fix your staff

The boba here is often over cooked and too soft. The quantity of the toppings is also very inconsistent - there's been many times when there's only 10 bobas in a drink. Additionally, the tea flavor in the milk teas and fruit teas is severely lacking. If you really want a lot of tea flavor, go to the True Dan across the street, but if you want a more fruity tea, then 85 is for you.

Always a reliable bakery to get freshly baked bread, cake, or a milk tea. This 85 location is spacious and each station is organized. Just grab a tray and tongs to pick out your favorite breads, wait in line, and order any additional items at the counter. Enough said.

This and the Irvine location are the best 85Cs in So Cal. They have the largest selection, fast service, and reasonable prices. Less competitive locations like Northridge can charge up to $1 more per piece. Since they discontinued the potato cheese and shrunk the garlic cheese bread in 2019, the savory selection has been anemic to say the least. Bring back the 2018 menu please. We don't all have a sweet tooth.

Very not well managed, especially so many workers and not divide one specific person just to serve people to buy only cake and not to wait in line when you are not even buying the bread etc. Have one worker only help for those just want to buy cake ! Make we waited 15 people ahead of us even we are not even buying bread! Wasting time! Must be Improved for better customer service.

Wanted to get a last minute birthday cake for my friend and decided to get their Strawberry Deluxe Cake. Thought the little puffy clouds on top were mochi or something mochi-related but they were actually just made of whipped cream. Other than that, really hoped the cake had a more distinct strawberry taste for being a Strawberry Deluxe Cake.

The mango cake taste great! But the staff that place my cake in the box really damaged it. It is very obvious , the staff did not center it properly before closing it properly. Therefore, when we open the box, we were given two extra embossed spots on the cake. It was for someone's birthday! How embarrassing. Next time I get a cake, I want a perfect cake without surprises.

Quality sucks now, what happened 85? Bread is stale and no longer fresh. Still using fake sugar like fructose and corn syrup. What also makes this place even worst is how they don't allow customer to tip their employees but enable tips on the POS. Pays associates minimum wage but expect so much work for no pay Greedy company.

I got the butter cake and only over 1 night, it already grows MOLD!!!! Good thing I saw it before I took a bite! So gross! Are their bread even freshly made anymore!? Like it was only over a night and it's rotten!
