Food wasn't bad but not great either. Miso soup was too salty (yes, even for miso soup standards). Miso black cod was OK but nothing more. There was one single piece of broccoli and two pieces of carrot, I expected a little more vegetables given that this was explicitly mentioned in the menu. Didn't try any of the sushi.

Great sushi Great service Can't wait to return Their garlic edamame was so good, and the oysters were delicious. The 21 piece sashimi was big enough that my wife and I were more than satisfied. Everything was super fresh and tender

Hi guys! Giving you one star, so you can see my review. I promise to change it later. Here are some tips that you MUST adopt: - if you see dirty napkins, remove asap - same for dishes - why my table is getting filled with dirty dishes over the time? Take them away - do not run around, I understand you are busy, we can wait. Wait is not the worst thing - do not roll the trolley with dirty dishes around, it's not cool. Feels cheap, and so much noise - the person who cleans the table with a dirty cloth cannot bring sushi after that. Consider responsibilities segregated: waiters and cleaners staff. - add a couple of bamboo walls, it will make the place nicer - light design - the light is okaish, but in your venue you can make it better, it's a nice place, make it cozy! - ask every once in a while how we doing, clean up dishes. - asked for the bill FOUR times, listen to me please. Don't run around, you won't earn all the money on planet Earth - watch my ginger, refill if low - service quality is 1 star as of now. Let us know when you're better and we're back!

Stopped by here for a quick dinner while on vacation with the wife. So hard to find a good sushi spot in my area and very glad we found this one. Quick service and great food, Warriors roll was great.

Loved it! The fish is so fresh. The owners were so sweet. . We couldn't catch an Uber back to our campground and they took us back.

I've had carryout from Hangetsu before but have never eaten in before. That was a mistake. Eating in, especially in the VIP room, is to be experienced. The room aside, I really enjoyed my meal. I had the miso black cod, which is a favorite and was as good as the best I have had (at Morimoto Philadelphia). The nigiri sushi were all fresh and delicious. I had the mackerel and salmon belly, and my son shared his o toro with me. Finished off with some mochi ice cream. And a Sapporo. What's not to love. See you again next visit!

The fish is very fresh and amazing. These guys are excellent sushi makers. It’s becoming so popular the service has slowed and they can get a bit overwhelmed. So many people there picking up takeout. They almost need a separate sushi bar for take out! Most excellent!

Service was terrible, food came out very slow, by the time my food arrived my partner had already finished hers. They forgot two of our items, food was overpriced & no better than any of the other local options. I'd say avoid it and go to Shiki instead. I miss the old Italian place!

Went there with a party of 5, including one child. Had several of the special sushi rolls, some hamachi, wagyu, chicken teriyaki, chicken and beef skewers, miso soup. Items showed up piece-meal. It was decent, perhaps better than other options in HMB since it has a higher YELP rating. Family atmosphere. The location was formerly an Italian restaurant we had been to some time ago. Nothing fancy. I guess if I wanted sushi and I were already out there, I would go back. Maybe not a destination from over the hill though. Service was fine, they were busy.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would! We had the garlic edamame, lion king roll, Romeo and Juliet and the spicy tuna crunch fried roll! Perfectly paired with ice cold Sapporo. If you don't stop and eat here, you'll have most definitely missed out. We will be back
