A real hidden gem in the South Bay where authentic Vietnamese food is scarce. This is a hole-in-the-wall so don't expect anything other than real, authentic Vietnamese food. There's not too many Vietnamese eaters around here where you can get tasty hu tieu (Vietnamese pork and seafood noodle soup), bun rieu (Vietnamese crab noodle soup), and bun bo Hue (Vietnamese spicy beef and pork noodle soup). I was also delighted after trying their bo kho (Vietnamese beef stew)! Just stop reading more yelp reviews and go try.

Cafe Nho and South Bay Vietnamese Restaurant are located right next to each other. We arrived early Sunday morning around 8AM as this was one of the few pho restaurants open early. They open everyday at 6:30AM! There was plenty of parking in the rear. AMBIANCE It literally feels like walking into a restaurant in Vietnam. It doesn't feel like one of those other pho restaurants catered to Americans in the South Bay. This felt like where all the local Vietnamese go. It was clean and plenty of seating. SERVICE The two servers were very friendly and smiled a lot. I wasn't sure if it was because this is a traditional Viet restaurant or it was super early, but they didn't stop by throughout the meal to check up. To be honest, it didn't bother me at all. FOOD We got the Bun Bo Hue and Pho. When I first saw the Bun Bo Hue, I thought it looked watery but it was soo FLAVORFUL. The Pho broth was also very tasty. Both came with generous amount of meat. We also ordered Banh Mi sandwiches, but I didn't like them as much much. The pickled vegetables weren't flavorful enough (missing more sugar/vinegar flavor). PAYMENT They do take credit card! Out of all the Pho places in South Bay, this place and Pho Hue Oi are the most authentic restaurants in the area. However Pho Hue Oi is always super packed and tables are close together. Although not the best in LA/OC, this is our new favorite authentic Pho spot in the South Bay!

No frills place with very authentic, delicious Vietnamese food that's made from scratch with bumping music in the background. Stumbled upon this gem and gave it chance and now have been back multiple times that the owners recognize us. Give it a try if you're in the neighborhood!

Best Vietnamese coffee in South Bay! I came here one morning based off the reviews and I was not disappointed. They are quick to serve and very pleasant. Don't have cash or card at hand, they can take zelle! Which is what I used last time I went. I've ordered their banh mi Sandwhixh and it was just as good as Mr. Lees but better with their own twist. The coffee was amazing! Strong and with a big punch! Will be coming back soon!

They open up super early which is really nice and the food is served very quickly, so you know they got the authentic part of that down. Taste wise I would say 3.5. They have the ingredients but the soup tasted a bit diluted. I went super early in the morning before work so I can't say how busy it was but they have a small parking lot in the back so that's super convenient. Their viet coffee is pretty good, I would stop by for that again. But since it's already in Torrance, I would just drive the extra 20 min down to fountain valley for much much better viet food.

Most authentic Vietnamese food in the South Bay! Very mom & pop hole in the wall. If you bring some patience, you will be handsomely rewarded!

This place is such a hidden gem. I missed it a few times while trying to find it it's so unassuming. I came here specifically to try the Mi Quang. It is so hard to find this dish in the LA area, so I was really excited to find this place. The Mi Quang here is solid and it was only $13! It's hard to find any dish for that price in LA. They also had a variety of other Vietnamese dishes that I want to come back to try. Highly recommend this place!

What can I say? Amazing banh mi for the price. Authentic and plentiful. Reminds me of what I would get in Vietnam!
