I'm so glad I found this lil gem of a restaurant. Staff are amazing and courteous. Food is off the chain especially the Asada tacos that are made to order with freshly hand made tortillas and the hard shell tacos are not to shabby themselves. The place is small, but very welcoming. I'll advise you to try everything on the menu from burritos to mulitas and more. If you in the Hawthorne area and is in need of some delicious tacos. Please stop by Tacos El Guero MEX. You won't be disappointed.
Google says you're open till 11pm, your paper menu says 10pm. I go your spot to try it out around 8:45pm and the girl working says you're closed? I tell her your time says otherwise and she replies, we're closing early!! My review is based on that.

We had tacos de asada which came with hand made tortillas which were delicious. We also had a asada California burrito which was a 8/10. We had a cheese and beans pupusa which wasn’t that good, 3/10. Would definitely come back again and again for the tacos. Red salsa is spicy but very good.

The food was ok, poor costumer service, the cashier and cooks were playing around when we were seated waiting for another order of tortillas. Definitely a food truck is much better than this place.

Man I love this spot but I'm done coming back here. Is been twice already that I get home with my order and is complety wrong. Just got home and both of my orders are wrong. How is this possible when she wrote it down and even confirmed. Asked for Birria and got lengua, asked for pastor and got chorizo....

Hawthorne may have a new little taco gem. I've driven by this place many times and was hesitant because the doors are closed and tinted, which I assumed the place was closed. Once I got closer, I saw the OPEN sign on the window. Maybe I'm not the only one who thinks this place is closed because there was no wait inside. (This review is solely based on tacos and al pastor fries.)We had asada tacos and al pastor fries. If you like spicy, the red sauce is spicy. We didn't try the green one. The al pastor fries really hit. They even had pico de Gallo, which I feel not many meat fries are served with pico de Gallo. That was definitely a highlight for me. They have a variety of aquas frescas and Mexican sodas. I LOVE horchata, but I can't say this was my favorite. I feel it tasted more like agua de cebada which is not the same as horchata. Next time I'll try the other aguas.It was very nice and clean inside. They have a few tables for a quick bite. My photo isn't the best of the al pastor fries, but you need to try it for yourself.

Excellent, fresh and tasty food It took them few extra mins to make it but you can tell that the food is not from freezer! The service is excellent and small little authentic Mexican place tucked in a strip mall!
