The best sushi and sashimi I've had in years, outside of Japan. Friendly service too!

First time trying this location BUT it felt very familiar since the interior was similar to the Oakland location. The nigiri combo also started at $25 for 7 pieces with the options to pick more expensive fish. Scallops and toro are available for no additional cost here as well. Honestly, a great addition to the area. Highly recommend their kurodai, aka black snapper, because they sear it very well.

Hubby and I ate here a few weeks after I gave birth, and it the best treat post delivery! We got the nigiri and sashimi plates, the fish was so fresh that it's like butter, just melts in your mouth! It's a small cozy restaurant with maybe 5 tables and seating at the bar. We're definitely gonna be back!

Great sushi takeout spot for quality fish that doesn't break the bank. Order ahead for pick up. I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and finally got the chance to try it out. I ordered their Nigiri combo with a side of a spicy salmon roll. For the Nigiri combo, you get to pick 7 pieces of fish and it comes with a chefs choice of maki. If you don't want to pick your sushi you can also go with chefs choice. I am very happy with the fish choices. A lot of the fish that is offered here is not the typical salmon or tuna kind that you find in most sushi restaurants around the area. For example, they offer Arctic char, snapper, amberjack, and trout. The fish is fresh and not fishy. The rice is nicely seasoned and it is a perfect size. I also ordered a an additional spicy salmon roll. Most places mince their fish when they make a spicy roll but this one has nice big chunks of salmon in the roll. It was nicely seasoned too and slightly spicy. Nothing crazy. Can't wait to get more take out from here or even dine in when I have some more time.

Incredible, melt-in-your-mouth ngiri. Best I've ever had. I'm obsessed. The space is very intimate but comfortable and well decorated, and the chefs are very friendly. It's a gem!

A perfect little sushi gem, Expect to find unforgettably delicious assortment of perfectly presented sushi plates. It's wonderfully focused with a changing assignment of fresh fish menu reminds me of what you might find in Tokyo. If you're lucky. Don't forget the salads and appetizers. The seaweed salad quivered with freshness and the soft egg with seafood (chumashi?) was delicious. Great service tops it off. Make a reservation.

Mujiri opened where Americana Pizza & Taqueria was. Inside seating at sushi bar & a few tables for dine in. Pics on wall add familiarity, casual dining vibes/elegance. Seated at sushi bar upon entry. Passed on a table. Offerings: nigiri, specials, desserts, sushi rice, drinks, sashimi/sushi combos Eats: sashimi combo (35) chef's choice 8 fish x 2 -semi generous premium slices: big eye tuna, hamachi, scottish salmon, amberjack belly, ocean trout belly, black snapper, arctic char, hokkaido scallop.. -uber fresh room temperature fish, almost melt in mouth quality. Mostly ate as is. Didn't add wasabi. *most fish i rarely see in regular sushi bars. Sushi rice(5) -nicely vinegared brown sushi rice. Rarely eat rice. Sushi rice an exemption. So yummy! Drink: genmai chai (green tea 3) -Japanese green tea aka popcorn tea smooth, lots of flavor.. 5 stars!!! Ichiban! (No. 1) -informed parking is available in area thru driveway next to eatery.

This place is probably one of the best thing to happen to Downtown Hayward. Its literally a hole in the wall that serves such high quality cuts of fish that it shocked my girlfriend and I. We were not expecting this level of quality. On top of that the price is absolutely affordable? $25 per person, and you get a lot of food. We were skeptical if this would fill us up but we were a happy full and not an overindulging full. It was an absolute perfect surprise. Seating is limited but they also offer an online ordering option as well. Im going to be sad when this place gets super busy but they deserve all the love and praise in order to succeed.

This spot is a gem in Hayward!! Came in with a friend and with a reservation, was seated right away. The space is small so you need to come with patience. The service was amazing. We were greeted when we came in and our server was attentive. The ambiance was nice great for either a date night or just hanging with friends. The music had us singing along and having our own little party. We ordered a cocktail and the Nigiri combo each. The drinks were tasty and so was the food!! The fish was so fresh and full of flavor. One of them had this Smokey flavor that just is unforgettable!! The place closes at 9pm but they staff just let us sit there and jam with them as they cleaned up! It was a whole vibe. I'll for sure be back!

Hands down the best Sushi spot for sashimi/raw fish lovers. Excellent service and quality. The price is very reasonable for the quality. Given they are a small location, the wait can be upwards to an hour to get your food but I think it's totally worth it.

I'm not a huge seafood person, but I wanted to take my mom here for her birthday and we loved it! Everything was so fresh and the presentation was nice. They were so sweet to include a "happy birthday" sign with our dish! We ordered: 1. Nigiri combo ($25). We requested no shellfish so they used mostly salmon and tuna for us. 2. Sashimi combo ($35). Everything was super fresh. The seared sushi was surprisingly one of my favorites. 3. Tea ($3 each) yes, be aware they charge for tea. Ambiance: Super small restaurant with just a few tables (I believe 4-5 tables), but there's also bar seating. I'd highly recommend calling ahead/booking online to make reservations. Service: Everyone was super nice, but I think they could use an extra server. The food also took a while, but I guess that's how you know it's fresh. Parking: Street parking Overall, the pricing was very reasonably and we will definitely be back!

I have been wanting to try this place since the summer and finally jumped on the chance to go for a Valentine's Day lunch! We dropped in at lunch time and was able to get 2 spots at the sushi bar. We ordered the sashimi combo, nigiri combo, and sushi rice. The nigiri was perfectly seasoned and amazing. As their menu instructed, there was no need to use any soy sauce as the flavor was perfect as it was served. All the sashimi was so fresh and the chef selected a great assortment. I especially loved the scallop sashimi. We will be back and excited to see what is offered next time.

HANDS DOWN some of the most affordable and good quality nigiri you can get in the Bay Area! An unassuming little shop (I recommend getting a reservation!). Tables are limited, so frankly - don't come with more than 4+ people... You MUST order the Nigiri Combo when you come in. The fish quality is top notch, especially for the price. You have the option to do "Chef's Choice" or you can choose which proteins you want. I found this so unique and fun. I chose all of my favorites: Hotate, Iwana, Toro, and Kanpachi. I was pleasantly surprised by the Kurodai (Black Snapper) too! Torched and savory. Must order!! The Ocean Trout ws just okay. The Sake & Shiso Hosomaki was SO ADDICTING. I could eat a dozen of those and never get tired of it. The wasabi in everything was perfectly scattered as well. One downside for me what the wait time for food. After we ordered, we waited about 45 minutes for our sushi to come out. I respect it though, it takes a while to perfect nigiri. Just keep in mind that it will take a while, especially if you're coming in hungry. Staff were really kind here and checked up often!
