So far not accommodation. Waiting for my table just a bit early

Outstanding dining experience. Amazing food and service. All the things you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. When our server sat us and asked our preference of water , he discretely signaled a colleague and our glasses were instantly filled. In another example, he picked up an empty glass , discretely put it behind his back while he spoke to us and another server wisked it away almost unnoticed. It's the details that matter.

Michelin Guide needs to either award this restaurant four stars or kick a bunch restaurants off its guidebook because SingleThread has exceeded my high expectations and raised the bar for culinary art. Decadent can be used to describe so many other less creative restaurants where they make good things better, some of them much better: truffle, more truffle, caviars, more caviar, foie gras, seafood, steak, etc. SingleThread makes ordinary things magical. Every bite you take is a window into a different world. Every course is multiple windows because every part of the course tells a unique story:The gentleness of yuba (silky tofu skin), the quiet ocean tales by the savory and lingering flavors of dashi (seaweed), the salty and cold Tomales Bay breeze from the oyster, the bitterness of crisp gai lan, and the explosion of excitements from this pastry/tart.Paced like a traditional kaiseki meal, you get your appetizers (10 of them in fact served on a tiny tabletop mountain), sashimi, steam dish (chawamushi), fried dish (shirako, fried sperms that I usually avoid in Japan but enjoyed here), simmered dish (even the cabbage on the side in daikon bone broth was heavenly), veggie dish (what I can only describe as a sculpture/3-d salad hidden with surprises including duck pate cream at the base that you eat with every bite, and candied coins looking things that are dehydrated sparkle of flavors), fish dish (where the skin was fried like pork rind yet the meat melted in your mouth; it’s accompanied by mochi made by pumpkin yet the best mochi I ever had; it’s the same dish as the simmer dish btw so also the cabbage and soup), meat dish (the steak was flawless; the wine pairing was a comparison of two Pinot varietals; one from new world one from old world) , and finished with a rice dish (porridge of local mushroom; I ate the entire bowl!).Lastly, the wine pairing was generous, and the take home menu was something I have never seen before… just look at the photo I post.

The meal was perfection, we did the wine pairing as well.. from start to finish everything was divine. The service, ambiance, experience, food, everything! I have celiacs and they made sure to make everything gluten free and cooked safely for me. AMAZING! Best meal/experience of our lives!!

Wow. This was a dining experience to remember. I won't list out all ten courses, but the highlights included the following: --The first course, a panoply of small bites that included uni, tamago, various sashimi, and a delightful Chinese lettuce dish. This course is fully prepared just before you sit down, so you sit down and it's there waiting for you, which is a really nice way to kick things off. --The smoked black cod, which was perfectly smoked and incredibly tender, served over a shiitake cream sauce with caviar. --The sea bream, which was served with the scales intact, giving it a terrific crunchy texture. I can't remember if this fish was smoked, but it had a smoky essence to it that was unforgettable. --The mushroom rice, which was a hearty, creamy mix of mushrooms, sticky rice and duck meatballs --The second (and final) dessert course, which was a cart consisting of various small bites like sweet potato with pecan and black sesame and strawberry cake. SingleThread is worth the praise and hype.

One word - amazing. We went for dinner, and we were awed by the initial presentation of food, which was already set at the table. That presentation took our breath away! It was a feast for the eyes and the stomach! We savored each and every little dish on it. The courses came one by one and each was explained by the wait staff. Each one outdoing the previous one! Amazing experience overall. We got our own printed version of the menu to go so we could remember the occasion.

Amazing experience!! Impeccable service by staff!! Food was delicious and the steak was amazing! The dining area was very pleasant and had a great ambiance. Not crowded and definitely not noisy or so close as to be in other's conversation. Overall a great and memorable experience!

It's probably one of the best meals that I've ever had. It brought back great memories of an amazing kaiseki-styled dinner in Kyoto. The first 10 bites included cold and hot dishes that were beautifully assembled like an art. Some bites were more flavorful to me than others. The team must have used a few dozen ingredients, so I can't list them all here. One of the best dishes was this creamy uni, some kind of foamy cream served in a shell. It was very balanced, not too creamy. My husband really liked the pairing of this dish with his Chardonnay. They worked really well together. Chef Kyle's signature is probably the nabe. He co-authored a book on it. The nabe was well executed, but I wish there had been a little more broth. The desserts were amazing, too. They were not overly sweet and delicate. The soft, warm Japanese purple yam was comforting on a cold night. The service was excellent, but I felt it was a little too fast at some point. I asked for a 5-minute break in between the main courses and desserts. Overall, I loved the meal and the experience and strongly recommend it if you haven't tried kaiseki.

Food is good but not at all worth the cost. The breakfast was mostly cold besides the main dish .... really not very good. So disappointed in that. Room was nice, but again the cost was extreme. Don't get me wrong, this is high end, but it's not on the same level as french laundry, and I love japanese food. Bummer. Was expecting to be blown away.

We booked the Inn for my husband's birthday weekend because we wanted to eat at the restaurant and it seemed after trying and failing many times to get a reservation, that booking the inn was the easiest way to score one. I had not a lot of expectations going in honestly. The Inn is located in downtown Healdsburg within walking proximity of much to do, but because of this doesn't have some of the traditional things you would expect a hotel at this price point to have (spa, pool, excursions onsite). I have to say we were blown away. About a month before our stay the concierge reached out to help us book some wine tastings (we wanted small batch, family owned wineries). The wineries she recommended were outstanding. The service itself at the Inn is insanely good. Everyone we talked to wished my husband a happy birthday. The room was super comfortable and they've thought of everything you could need. The in room food options were unbelievably good. You basically get a three Michelin star meal for breakfast and in room dinner. We are already planning our next trip back...truly one of my favorite hotel experiences I've ever had.

Good service but odd description of the food, as Ingredients were listed in painful detail, but too fast and too quietly to really understand. Maybe I should have requested the server to be louder and slower. Food was superb. Service was very attentive. Music was too loud, registering about 72-74 decibels. When the music was briefly paused, the reading went down to 62-64. A major difference and much more pleasant. The desserts were sweetened to Japanese taste, although I prefer sweeter standards.

What an experience. The space was great. Gotta check out the bathrooms. Service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being over bearing. Shout out to Jackson the sommelier for being knowledgeable and funny. Food was excellent and precise. Great presentation, delicious flavors and paired well with the wines. The price was steep but ultimately worth it.

As we walked up to the restaurant the hostess greeted us by name (nice touch!). We were seated looking into the kitchen which was fun. Our waiter was nice and efficient, as a matter of fact everyone there has obviously had great hospitality training. The first course (sushi) was sort of mind blowing (in a good and not so good way). It came out on one large, long platter and the sushi was interspersed with a bunch of other non-edible stuff (sticks, flowers, ferns, etc) so you sort of hunted and pecked for your food which was fun at first but that got old pretty quickly. The funniest course was a clam in a shell on a pile of rocks, the waiter had to make sure we all heard that the only thing edible on the plate was what was in the clam shell, "don't eat the rocks" (note, the rocks looked like some type of grain so if someone wasn't paying attention it could be a bad situation!). Just about every course needed an explanation which interrupted the vibe - I just want to enjoy time with family & friends, relax, drink some good wine and eat great food. While the food for the most part was very good the presentation was a bit fussy. The service was impeccable. In conclusion, I'm glad we went as it was a good experience but I don't need to do it again.
