Wonderful little tasting room in downtown Healdsburg in the square. My husband and I drove up from Sacramento to meet his sister and brother in law. We ended up being pretty early so decided to pop in to kill some time because why not? We were the first people in so we got started immediately. I was handed a little menu showing what they offer and what tasting flights they had. I am a big red fan so I went that route. The lady helping us out was SO sweet and we ended up talking with her like we knew her for years which really made for a memorable first experience. It was becoming quite difficult for me to choose which I liked between the pours so she gave me two glasses and poured two wines so that I could compare. I had never seen that before and thought it was really thoughtful and it really helped me find what I liked best. I really appreciated that she left the bottle next to the glass as well so I could remember what I was tasting. As time went on other couples came in to pick up their wines as there was a pick up party at another winery in the square and we ended up meeting another couple from Sacramento! If it weren't for our lunch reservations, I could have stayed there all day and now I'm on a mission to find their winery.

Popped in for an unscheduled wine tasting on a weekday stay recommendation from our hotel. The tasting was informative (learned about the genetic similitude of Primitivo and Zinfandel) and scored tastings of the harvest festival award winners. So glad we stopped in. Nice ambience and friendly host/hostess interactions.

Soda pop or soda rock? This isn’t your daddy’s pop! Great wines and even better times!Highly recommend the boar blend.“A great man is judged by the wine he drinks and the way he thinks”-Phil Collins

We came here with the Healdsburg passport deal online. It was such a small but personable space in the downtown. It’s located further down where most people don’t walk, which is a shame bc the wine is delicious. The service was amazing, we even became wine club members on our first visit. Would definitely come back

Manny is a gem. Love learning about the wine and winery from him, plus his stories and sense of humor! We bought 4 bottles of delicious wines, all different types.

Really lovely that Soda Rock has two locations: one in the downtown and one at their estate. We stopped in at the downtown location and we were not disappointed. Really lovely wines. We enjoyed their cabs quite a bit and our host Shawn was very hospitable as well. Will definitely return!

My friend and I had the pleasure of visiting your downtown establishment last Friday. Each wine on the list was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a pour of the Diane Marie 2014, of which we purchased several bottles. I feel our experience was truly enhanced as well by your employee Madi, I'm terrible with names but luckily it was on the receipt. It was a true pleasure to see someone who truly enjoys her work ( although I don't feel she views it as "work" or just a "job"). She shared her knowledge about each wine, in a manner that was very informative, yet full of love and fun. I feel that Madi is truly an exceptional person. I felt I should share this with you.

Really wonderful tasting experience. All the wines were excellent, and our server Robin was so knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up buying a case - 5 bottles of the Zin wedding cake - amazing; 2 bottles each of the Zin Alexander and Xin Postmaster - also delicious, and 2 bottles of the Chardonnay, which were really good. We sat on the shady, breezy patio, and had a lovely time. Will definitely return, and would love to visit their winery, too!

My husband and I went in without a reservation and Johnnie was phenomenal! She let us try all of their flagship wines and took the time to learn about what we liked. She has so much knowledge about wine, the process and the company. We enjoyed this wine tasting experience so much we became members! Definitely try them out!!!

I'm a big fan. Great wines and a small but cute tasting room right in downtown Healdsburg. I still need to make it to the winery itself for a tasting.

Such an adorable little tasting room! I've been to Soda Rock Winery a few times, but this was my first time visiting their tasting room in Downtown Healdsburg. Their tasting room is just as charming as their winery, and the wine is amazing too.Apparently, this tasting room has been open for about a year now, but they haven't been open for tastings for a large part of the year due to COVID. The tasting room actually came about after the Kincaide Fire burned down Soda Rock Winery's original estate last year. The owners decided to open a tasting room downtown after that happened for the folks who still wanted to enjoy Soda Rock's wine. Well, they did an amazing job with this tasting room! Although we can't taste inside right now due to COVID, the interior design is absolutely gorgeous. I made an appointment online for a tasting about a week in advance which was super easy. Right now they are working by appointment with very limited walk-in availability. They have 4 tables available on their patio for distanced outdoor tastings. Joanie assisted me that afternoon, and she was absolutely wonderful! She honestly sold me on the merlot, and merlot is one of those varietals that I've never been a fan of. I'm glad that she convinced me to try it because I ended up getting a bottle of it.One thing that I love about Soda Rock's wine is that there's never a bad tasting one. I enjoyed everything that I tasted with my favorites being their Marshall Zinfandel and Merlot, both of which I purchased. If you're a fan of Zinfandel, then you will really enjoy the Zins from here. Their 2018 Marshall Zin was super jammy, fruity, and smooth. Basically, it just sung to this little palate of mine. I knew the that baby was coming home with me right after the first sippy sip.Although their tasting room is located right off of the busy square, it was still super relaxing and fun. It's a nice place to chill with a friend or your significant other and just enjoy the fruits of their wine labor. Joanie was super fun to chat with and you can tell that she's super passionate about Soda Rock's wine. If she is able to host you, then you'll be in for a real treat. I'm so excited that I was able to finally taste here. Looking forward to coming back again after the new shelter-in-place orders are lifted next year (hopefully).
