it was the best egg foo young in the world. Sadly, NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. Now a Japanese restaurant. :(

I will miss this restaurant forever. It had to me the best egg foo young and chicken chow mein ever in the area. And I mean I'm over 60 and I've lived on this food for over 40 years and then to go to the location only to find that whoever took over the restaurant tries to justify that they want to make it authentic Japanese restaurant now instead of Chinese food so no you can't order what you know was a staple of Kim's Pagoda for many many decades. And then when you decline to place an order because you're confused because they though there's not the Kim's Pagoda sign up above the storefront itself when I went last there was still the sign along the roadside so I pulled up and I thought oh they redid their Windows because when you pull up you can't see the sign unless you get out and you look straight up. So you know I walked in and this gal handed me an iPad or whatever they're called and said this is our menu for today and I was looking at it or no first I ordered as she handed it to me and she asked me if I wanted anything to drink and I said I wanted it in iced Green Tea. She didn't know what that was and literally it took 15 minutes before her boss told her how to make an iced green tea which is literally make some green tea and pour it over some ice in a glass. I mean how lack of common Sense do people have to be but anyways you know after listening to them Converse about how to make iced green tea which is Japanese and you know it's just Asian anyways I started looking at the iPad and I was like wait what is this? I can make this at home. And then I I finally turned around and I said excuse me where is the egg foo young in the you know chow mein and they go oh no no new menu. New authentic Japanese menu. And I was like well that's not why I came in here the sign out on the street says Kim's Pagoda so that's where I thought I was going. And he goes oh you try something on new menu and I said no I'm sorry that's not why I came here and that's not what I'm in the mood for. And I mean why would I pay extra for somebody to make something I can make at home? I mean I was going there for the memory I was going there for to me what was the best egg foo young and chicken chow mein I ever eaten. And they took that away from me. They took that away from a lot of us in the valley. But you know it's not necessarily them it was a pandemic I suppose however I had bought food from the restaurant even in you know the early mid pandemic stages. There was never any information about it shutting down. It just breaks my heart. I mean it broke my heart when they moved because I loved where they used to be at. But I understood that the economy forced them to move. And so I tried to be a loyal customer to them afterwards. But then for them to just shut down with no notice and by the way until I mean I mean until the day that I went into the restaurant I had checked the website for the restaurant and it said it was still open so I you know was fully planned to be able to order what I wanted to order. Instead I show up in something else and I said that to the owner I said by the way I checked the website and it says it's still open and it still shows the old menu. If it was not open or if it showed the new menu I would have never driven 45 minutes to get here. People say I should give him a chance no that's not what I wanted to eat I didn't drive 45 minutes to eat at a place that I've never eaten at before and that had nothing that I couldn't make it home. I drove 45 minutes to eat at a heartfelt memory of my life with some of the best food of my life. So you trolls that want to you know leave me bad messages about not giving me other place a chance well you know that's on you because what are you 12 years old probably? Maybe 18 probably not more than 20. You don't know anything about life come and talk to me when you're my age which I doubt you'll be able to do.

Very favorite restaurant ever!! Try the Budda dinner special. Outstanding!! Service is great and it's the same waitress for over 30 years...

If you think you are going to be eating kims pagoda food think twice! The old owners no longer cook and work here. The food tastes nothing at all like what it used to taste like which was amazing. I know this as I have been their client over for 20 years now. The food is disgusting now, save your money and don’t go here. Wish I had been told when ordering the food to avoiding trying this food today which made me cry.

Great Chinese food! A bit pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth in quality, delicious food.

I can't wait until pandemic is over so I can dine in at this place. My only complaint would be the air conditioning

The food has always been good here but the problem is the owner(Michelle)she is rude and greedy, she charged us for a side of hot mustard and they charge for hot tea now as well.we have been regulars for 20+ years and we stopped eating there because of Michelle.also the location is in a very bad place it is like something you would see in Compton or watts in L.A.

Called and asked every single restaurant in the area if they had a zodiac paper and this restaurant is the only one that understood me. Sad that a lot of the restaurants thought I was making fun of them but I wasn't I just wanted one they gave me one free and I ordered a bunch of awesome food

I stopped here on my way home, it was ok to say the least, the service was good the food was kinda bland. Price for quality did not match though

Truer words were never spoken, "don't judge a book by its cover"! This restaurant has great owners/operators! The food totally sets them apart from "China express type" American Chinese food. They are more of a traditional sit down enjoy the food with your family and friends. When you do take the time to go in you will be glad you did. Side note, the Long Island was perfect! Not too strong nor too sour

Overpriced cold p*** on a plate I can't believe they call it Chinese food..... And they didn't even have chopsticks..... Would not wish my enemy to go here.....

I celebrated my nomination this evening in this gorgeous place. Well we passed a phenomenal evening and the restaurant was no doubt one of the reasons for the fruitful event. The stuff collaborated in a pleasant manner, the meals were extremely good and my buddies were extremely glad. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Had the chicken egg rolls (homemade) and Kung pao chicken. Delicious. Ordered for takeout, so, I can not rate the service. However, the lady at the register was very nice.

Came in on a Sunday night 6:30pm only I other couple in the restaurant? I got appetizer plate two of each Fried shrimp no good to much batter small rubbery shrimp, won ton w meat no good either, paper chicken good, Chinese style bbq ribs very good, and egg rolls excellent. Then I got big bowl of woe wonton soup but the broth had no flavor had to add lots of salt and pepper. I may give them another chance and try some other dishes. And stay away from soup and appetizers, except for the egg rolls which I liked. The restaurant looked nice inside. Clean. The hostess/ waitress seemed nice and polite.
