6 cashier lanes only 1 wants to work. Unmotivated workers, supervisors are probably sitting in their office while one is sweating to serve 12 people in line

I like how the checkers are willing to give me all one-dollar bills and/or quarters for cash back.

The city of Hercules should have never put this here. It's in a terrible location. It's understaffed and always out of stock on common items. The people who work there seem to be trying pretty hard. But they don't seem to be able to keep up with the flow of traffic

Title: Disappointing Decline in Quality I have been a long-time customer of Safeway and have always enjoyed their fried chicken. However, my recent experience yesterday has left me quite disappointed. The chicken not only had an unpleasant aftertaste resembling used oil but also seemed to signify a decline in overall quality. It's disheartening to witness a once-reliable product taking a downward turn. The aftertaste was particularly off-putting and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I hope Safeway addresses these concerns and takes steps to maintain or even improve the quality of their fried chicken. As a loyal customer, I believe constructive feedback is crucial for improvement. I sincerely hope Safeway considers these remarks and works towards restoring the standard of their fried chicken.

Very pleasant Safeway to shop at! The cleanliness of this location is amazing and it is almost always spotless. Everything is always organized and stocked. And, I've never had a difficult time checking out as they are very efficient and on track with reducing lines. The staff here also are very friendly and go above and beyond. I received great service with Nitisha at check-out and Carlos at the Butcher counter specifically. While their parking lot is sometimes a mess because of how busy this location is, it is never too much of a hassle to not shop at. I haven't tried the food they serve yet, but looking forward to checking it out soon!

There are some good helpful workers here! Store is always clean, Sometimes there is lines, but I notice they do there very best to get you out as quickly as they can. The evening Deli staff is nice as well as the sandwich makers, but there is a Lady in the Deli that's kinda tall can barely speak any English and it's very frustrating at times, I notice she caters to her own each time I'm there. Sometimes I think she acts like she doesn't understand to get out of being helpful. Other than the parking lot traffic, I like this Safeway.

This place is garbage. Absolute garbage. No one is ever at customer service and I have to make many trips back and forth just for a refund. Everyone is so rude and I do not recommend this place what so ever. Go to Pinole if you need groceries from Safeway . DO NOT COME HERE!

I wouldn't get your ribeye steaks here. The one I got was scrap meat glued together. How is the cap coming apart into 4 pieces??

I wish I could give it a less than zero star, but, no supermarket store is that bad.in fairness, when it comes to selections and location, this Safeway gets a 5 star rating.I am giving it 1 star due to the service, or lack of service that I received from the deli department.Went there today, 09/09/23, around 1745.I wanted to buy some fried chicken for dinner. There was zero customers in front of me, I am the only customer, and there were 2 attendants behind the counter slicing deli meat.I stood there for more than 5 minutes, the 2 attendants occasionally looking at me, and neither one of them stop whatever they were doing and asked me if I needed assistance or told me that they would help me once their present tasks were done.Totally, terrible, service.I will never come back to this Safeway.Really bad service at the deli department.

Overall, it's a good store. Parking is not very good and now they allow people to stand out front and ask for money. There was a young man today saying he was raising money for his basketball team so I gave him a few dollars and asked him if he was from Hercules high school he said no but he couldn't tell me what high school he went to, but he knew it was in Oakland. Really? Also, lately I've seen people run out the front door, holding groceries they didn't pay for maybe they should hire some security, and be more careful about who they let "fund raise" in front of their store.

No checker lines open in the front. Only one line open in the alcohol area and was backed up 5 deep. Self check out open. Many shoppers at 930 am on a Friday. I shopped all the sakes and put many cold items am frozen items in my cart. Put 6 bottles of wine in my cart.when I was ready to checkout at 1010 is when I realized no checkers at the front. I waited patiently at the front hoping someone would open soon. shoppers keep going by and asking about checkers. The person at self checkout came out and said only alcohol line ot self checkout. many people complained. I asked a worker when the check out would open. Not until the next scheduled person comes in. He kindly checked for me when that would be. At 1100 one and at 1130 two. So those of us who don't want to do self checkout or can't because of too many groceries or alcohol went and stood in line that was already 5 deep. my cold items where out of the refrigerator for way over the time limit for it not to be safe. This is unacceptable staffing especially for a FridayI spent over 400 dollars and am a loyal customer. Mary Helm The employees that were there were doing a stand up job. Only thing is they acted as nothin was wrong with this picture. They we're doing the work of 3 people..

The worst managed Safeway hands down. There are never enough people on shift. Go ahead and use the excuse we can't find people. Well maybe if you took some of record profits and gave them them to the rolls that actual make you the profits. You may find some people. Really piss poor management.

I live in Hercules last 33 years, when I heard the Safeway store was opening. I was so excited. Because Safeway was always my first choice but unfortunately, in this particular, Safeway, everything was overpriced the bakery department, which is I always like is horrible, especially when they selling, 1-2 there's old beagle and donut, Let's talk about gas station, which is my favorite in all Safeway, but here, sometimes they forget to change the price, and you never find the windshield cleaner or towel when I ask them, they simply say people are stealing it, which is doesn't make any sense I mean it's not happening every day

I sent this email on your website on May 2nd and heard no response. Is this how you run your business? I visited your new Hercules store this morning and only self check out was available. I had 37 items in my cart, including gift cards. I was directed to the security section of the store where you buy liquor, that was the only checker, with 4 people in line. They told me to go to self checkout, I asked if a regular register was open, as I didn't want to check out my over $400 worth of groceries myself. They said no. So, I proceed to scan all my groceries, and bag them. I needed assistance (override) for the 9 gift cards I purchased. I also needed them to help with a coupon discount that was on the shelf but not showing on the register. The last person to help me, was very sweet and was sympathetic to my situation. I explained I was really frustrated and disappointed with the fact no checkers were available when I needed to check out, and I told her my frustration was not with her but this store. She was very nice (African American woman, I say this because others also had to help during this transaction, but they seemed as frustrated as me). I go to your store for a particular type of service and I was very disappointed that I was told I had to pay you (offer my labor for free) because this store was not run correctly. I spent at least 15 minutes working for your company for free (this doesn't include my waiting in line). I would like to be compensated. I didn't agree to this forced labor. Please let me know how you will make me whole and convince me to shop at your store again.
