I've gone to Cancun PRE Covid twice & yes it was good service, good food, clean restaurant & everyone spoke HIGHLY about it. My husband & I decided to go yesterday (9.13.2020). Obviously we were seated in the outside patio overlooking main st. NOT A PROBLEM. We liked how it had plexiglass against the fence, that was a plus. But we felt it needed more circulation in the patio. It felt musty. Server came by and dropped off the chips and salsa & took our drink orders. Maybe after a dip or two of the salsa, there was flies everywhere & even two went inside the salsa. There was flies under the table that I had to shoo with my legs. Server came by & told him to please exchange the salsa since there was flies in it. My husband & I looked around the patio & the whole patio floor was filthy, not clean, stains everywhere & flies attached to the floor. We didn't feel comfortable. We over heard the customer behind us say that there was also a fly inside his beer glass & the salsa & when the server passed by us, there was the fly inside the glass. After that we decided to cancel our drink orders left & ended up eating at Pancho Villa's off of Amargosa. We did feel bad for canceling our drink order & leaving like that but they should be more clean.

What the heck happened to this place? Two times turned away at 8:00 pm so went early today. Tables and ground were filthy and no specials. Maybe the owner sold it as none of the staff looked familiar. Got up and canceled our order and no one cared. When there's COVID-19 and you point out there's still food on the table after being wiped, there's a shrug because 'it's just a little bit of food.' Yuck

Every time I go here we have great food. The service is usually on par with everywhere else I’ve been. I would recommend getting the tortilla soup. Also get the steak. The fish tacos are also decent.
Great food, very nice staff,, patio seating during these difficult times.

This is my favorite local Mexican restaurant until today. This is the second time I visited since the pandemic started. I ordered the Fajitas and they were dry, the beef tough and rubbery and NO TASTE at all. This was the 2nd time I ordered fajitas and I knew the chef was different. I packed them to bring home and add flavor to them. I was hungry so I ordered a beef enchilada, it was cold. I've been going to this restaurant since the day they opened. I will only go for drinks, chips and salsa and tacos...hard to mess up tacos. With the exception of the margerita, I wasted $40 bucks again for a tasteless meal. If they don't bring the old singing chef back or find someone who can capture the taste of authentic Mexican food, patrons will go elsewhere! I really like the waitress Maria who made the BEST margarita and is always so sweet and professional. I always take friends and my family when they come to town. I'm disappointed.
