Amazing stopover with family

My friends and I went here to try out the ice cream. they only offer ice cream scoops, no option to get it as a milkshake. that's fine, we thought. The girl at the counter would not allow us to sample the flavors when we requested. to me, that's strange since every other ice cream shop I've ever been in has been more than willing to have me sample their flavors. the ice cream was pretty mid for the price. maybe that's why they wouldn't let us sample...

This ice cream was very very bad melted right away and was very nasty, for the price as well not good overall!

It was a fine ice cream shop

Cool little dessert shop to stop in! Ice cream was I think $4.50 for 1 scoop! And $2 and additional. I must be old cause that seems pricey! And they didn't even have every flavor stocked! Coffee was just basic. Not really high quality. The staff were all polite and very helpful! The pre packaged sweets were delicious! But again a lil pricey. All the novelty stuff inside was actually cool! Big variety of cool things, nothing generic! We got on the train ride and my little kids liked it. They also got the lil mining package which they liked doing all on there own. Overall I think we'd come back to spend a few hours here and now knowing what's what.

Enormous ice cream portions! I asked for two scoops and was watching how they put about 3-4 spoons to form mega scoop for me. And then they did it again. If I ever get fat, this place is to blame

A more detailed fruit stand that you typically see along the road in Hollister going to wastonville. Prices are more than average that you'd see at one of the smaller stands. I was disappointed that the ice cream bar was closed and didn't have any signs with times but I saw plenty of other people eating ice cream outside from the location. It's good for the experience every once and a while but too much too visit often.

A fun place to take your kids!

The candy selection has diminished greatly. I bought taffy that was stale and gooey. My daughter and I were greatly dissatisfied.

Been stopping at Casa de Fruta for years, but I've never eaten at the restaurant yet. We've shopped at the store, bought sandwiches at the Deli, and all previous experiences/products have been great. I've been seeing the signs for Cup Flipper, Prime Rib, and this time we had some extra time, so we decided to try the restaurant. I ordered the French Dip, and my wife and son decided to split the Prime Rib Breakfast (includes 3 eggs). The French Dip was fine, though they did not provide enough au jus. They were happy to provide second cup, when we requested one. No problem here. The staff were wonderful people. The reason for 2 stars was really the Prime Rib... for all the hype, and such a high price tag, the Prime Rib was really disappointing. It was dry, and visually looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days. It was so difficult to cut, that we literally had to test if the knife was sharp (it was). I wish I had taken a picture to share, but it literally did not look like real meat. It looked more like something you would see at a Halloween supply store! We ended up pouring some au jus from my French Dip on it, and that made it OK, but at $19.99 Menu Price, it should have been better. We might give the restaurant another shot, maybe it was an off-day... but we'll probably order something else instead of the Prime Rib!

Always awesome. Always a great place to stop and spend a few hours. Get some fruit, some burritos, and maybe some beer and a tank of fuel.

Casa de Fruta, the only place to stop on your way to the bay on Pacheco Pass Highway. Casa de fruta is the fanciest most adorable fruit stand you will ever encounter. It has everything:1. Fresh Fruit 2. Flavored nuts (almonds, pistachios, peanuts) etc.3. Wine4. Jam5. Chocolate6. Facilities7. Rides for the kids8. Restaurant 9. Hotel (Inn)I love there pomegranate wine. It's the best! Casa de Fruta has been around forever and is a MUST STOP!
