Happened to drive by and noticed a cute little bbq spot and was excited to try. Walked in and it smelled great so decided to give it a try. Placed a order for a rack of ribs- sold out, short ribs- sold out. Ended up ordering a plate with chicken, brisket, macaroni and beans. Was told it would be ready in 30 mins, which sounded odd being that the meats were already smoked. After 30 mins were told they were out of macaroni and cheese and pick something different. We will try the corn bread- sold out haha ok what do you have. Ended up going with potato sales which we would have never picked but had already paid and waited for our order. The brisket portion received was about 85% fat and the sides portions were tiny. Let's say I will not be returning back. Very disappointed

I was excited to try this out like others and was disappointed. I got tri tip and brisket, both tasted like rubbery gasoline flavored meat. The cornbread was soggy and tasted like meat too. The mac and cheese was decent but the potato salad didn't taste like a potato salad.

Yes ! Yes ! And yes ! I'm from out of town and was super hungry I have never tried this place but decided to give it a chance because it had no line. This food was so good I wanted to smack my own mama. No Jk but the corn bread !!!! ON POINT ......Mac and cheese TOO ON POINT ITS RIDICULOUS. And the beans BROWNIE POINTS!!! The sandwich had me full and satisfied. I will be coming back. I knew I should of got another order of cornbread .

When they first opened I was not thrilled by the food. Going back a few times in the past month, I'm going to assume any issues I had were just opening jitters. The brisket is fantastic and the sides have not disappointed. The woman who's been working when I've been in has been friendly and helpful. It's a smallish space. I have only gotten my food to go, but has not disappointed. Nice to have som good bbq in Hollister.

We finally got a chance to check this place out - my husband & I wanted to love it but it missed the mark for us. We came in one night to order our food to bring back home. The lady the register was super nice & recommended a few items since it was our first time there. We ended up ordering the Pulled Pork Sandwich with BBQ Beans & Mac & Cheese & The Ruben Sandwich with Potato Salad & Street Style Elote. When we got home & opened the boxes, we were amazed at how small the sides were! They use the same containers that the bbq sauces come in - super small portion for sides for the price you pay. I thought the pulled pork sandwich was pretty good but the mac & cheese was pretty dry for me. The bbq beans were also different than what I was expecting. My husband said the ruben sandwich was pretty dry which was disappointing for him since he was so excited to try the place. He said the sides weren't bad but he's not sure if he'd order it again. Not sure if we'd try this place again - maybe one day if we're craving bbq to give it a second chance, but I think we might be better off checking out the original location in San Juan Bautista.

It was great food , then earlier this year I saw that they came to hollister near where I live so I had to try it out, I was very happy with my three meat combo ( tri tip, pulled pork and brisket) with the baked beans, apple ginger slaw a side of the Mac and cheese and a big hunk of moist corn bread with jalapeño honey butter soaked on top !!! so good. Thank you !

I took my food home and opened it up, the Texas "toast" was just a piece of bread probably from Safeway, so I toasted it myself and added butter and seasoning and it was pretty good. This was maybe my second or 3rd time trying ribs, and they were definitely not that tender as I had them the first time. The tri tip that I got was super super good, and all the sauces I tried were all super good. Overall I would go again but probably get something without the "toast"

This place is SO GOOD! We had the tri tip meal with beans and potato salad, cornbread, and their burger special. Everything we had was delicious, the service was great and my kids loved the Mac n Cheese and banana pudding. Our new favorite place in Hollister!
