Such a cute place. Everything was perfectly tasty. Had the milk oolong tea, caprese salad, and pesto mozza panini. So many trinkets to look at.

Lovely little oasis in the middle of the craziest part of Hollywood. Proper tea with a lot of selection served English style in little china cups. The waitress our day (Monday March 18 afternoon) was simply lovely although she was alone and overburdened by people at the Chado in LA calling her non stop because their computer was down. She handled it all with grace and charm and kindness. She deserves to be recognized by the management in my opinion. The Assam tea was perfect. My egg salad sandwich was tasty and my friend's paninni looked great. Nice little spinach side salad came with.Vegetarian options: egg salade

It's a nice little tea room with a few tables, but the guy who greeted us was too loud, he was almost yelling! He was friendly but his voice was deafening. We ordered the tea service and the sandwiches were OLD, dry, with rubbery chicken filling. The scone was warm but did not taste fresh. At 11 am we were the first customers, hence we were served leftovers and day old breads. I almost wanted my money back, but the teas were good so never mind. We won't come back.

Chado was not crowded and our server gave us plenty of time to decide on our food choices. My friend and I had not gotten together for three+ years, so we appreciated that our server did not rush us.

We had the afternoon tea service. Delightful tea. Scones were milky and amazing. Great selection of sandwiches. Took home cookies for later. Butter cooks were fantastic! Overall, enjoyed it and will go again if I visit.

Starting with the good, the quality of tea was excellent. The rest of the experience was just okay. The server was not accommodating and quite slow. The scones were much too sweet and they came with whipped cream instead of clotted cream. The sandwiches were quite bland, although the spring onions on the cucumber sandwich were a nice touch. The cookies were dry. The ambiance is fine, but it could use some soft music.

I love Chado Tea Room and have been to several in the Los Angeles area. The one in Hollywood on Hollywood and Highland was disappointing. It is difficult to find, the food wasn't up to standard, the tea was served without honey. Overall I was disappointed after being a loyal customer for years.

The food and tea were wonderful. Equivalent to the Pasadena location. The service, however, was horrible. One loan waitress had to service everyone in the shop and she was running herself ragged. She tried her hardest, but it took almost 20 minutes just to get a menu after getting up and asking for one. Apparently the cook was brand new, and she had to train her while serving tables. This is really unacceptable for an eatery of this caliber. Apparently the cook was brand new and the waitress had to train her while serving tables. Had a tea tasting with a group for a friend's birthday. This was my first time having this experience. The environment is quiet and very polished when seated and having tea brought to you in tea cups and small plates.A variety of scones and small tea sandwiches companied a selection of 4-6 teas shared with the table. Lite and filling. The only thing that was odd was the lighting currently is having major flickering issues. It made it a little fun because this happen to be Halloween weekend, but I'd hope after October the lights get straightened out :)

the service was really subpar unfortunately. they are way understaffed! there was only one server basically for the entire place - we waited half an hour just to be acknowledged and get some menus, even though we had a reservation. the food was also pretty bland & dry, and not worth the money for the afternoon tea. the place is cute but it just didn’t live up to my expectations at all.
