Restaurant hasn’t been GREAT since 2013. This place could be said to be a hit or miss but it’s always a miss. The menu usually doesn’t make much sense. This place loves to mix Ingredients that don’t go together.

We made reservations online through Open Table several days in advance and got a phone call from the restaurant the next day confirming the reservation including the time and # of guests. A few days later on the day before our reservation date the restaurant called and canceled the reservation with no reason given. With such short notice we were unable to get into any other local restaurants. This was very disappointing since we had planned to celebrate a birthday with our family and friends.

Special wedding at this stunning location. Intimate ceremony in the grassy area with amazing view of the lake. The pier lit up at sunset. Perfect setting to celebrate. The staff was great and the food was wonderful. We chose the Braised short rib on polenta. Outstanding! Unforgettable night with the blessed couple. We were told this was one of the few last weddings at this venue. So glad we got to experience all it has to offer.

From start to finish we had a wonderful dinner at West Shore Cafe. Service was excellent, we had the Burrata (unusual but great), Calamari (slightly spicer than most, but still decent), then Risotto, Elk, and Short Rib (loved all of them). Great views of Lake Tahoe to boot.

They were short staffed yet our servers were amazing. The food was great (unusual Burrata (but very good), a very good Elk loin, and very good short rib). Views of the lake and mountains were the reason we came but everything else was a great bonus. We will definitely come back next time we are in town again.

We got married at West Shore on 10.08.21 and it was a wonderful experience then. When we saw that they were open for dinner on that day, we knew we had to go back and celebrate our one year anniversary there. The food is simply outstanding, they treated us so well and were so kind. The views of the lake could not be better. Highly recommend!

Cold Elk Loin and cold sweet potatoes was very disappointing. My wife liked her Short Ribs. You go here for the view and NOT the food. I'd suggest going to Swiss Lakewood about a block away.

Food was very mediocre. Calamari was good, I had the Halibut and it was dry and tasteless. My husband had the short ribs and thought they were good. Overall, very pricey for not so good food. We've had much better meals at other restaurants for less money.

We dined at the outdoor patio this past weekend. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for lunch, and we had big plans to dine and enjoy drinks to start our weekend. We had a situation with the host manager "Kevin" whom was extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. I am going to avoid details, and the owner may respond back explaining their seating policy, which I don't necessarily have an issue with. The issue is specifically Kevin's aggressive and toxic attitude towards customers (infront of children). I would say this was the most rude experience I have had at a restaurant, and the restaurant should seriously consider moving Kevin to a non-customer facing role. This toxic person should not be speaking with customers. I will say our food was pretty good (crab cakes and burrata were exceptional) and our waitress was extremely nice. If Kevin was not there, I would highly recommend dining here. Restaurant should seriously consider evaluating Kevin's behavior.

The absolute best. We love the sandwiches, service, and market. 5 stars for this local.

I asked for a table away from people and close to the fence near the grass area. Sierra took my request and did not accommodate us. They had lots of empty tables. I was very disappointed ! Our server was awesome and we enjoy the food!!

Very dissapointed from our Ceasars Salad with no dressing, overpriced entree, and our tasteless dessert.. Way overpriced and over-rated.

3 stars is for the food and the location. We ordered mostly appetizers that were well presented and flavorful. Cocktails were expensive and mediocre. The service was really unfriendly. The guy that docked the boat seemed frustrated at his job and our waiter seemed so unhappy that I asked him if he hated his job. He actually said he was unhappy because he was working in an area that he wasn't supposed to be. Talk about unhappy employees overall. No smiles, no laughs, which isn't great for a Tahoe restaurant where there are tourists supporting the economy there. My suggestion is some kind of morale plan from management. Wouldn't return.

Just a beautiful evening at West Shore Cafe. The service was awesome, we had a great table, the Ahi Poke was a tasty appetizer. The short ribs and elk loin were outstanding. Always a winner!
