I was so looking forward to trying this place. Went on a Saturday, around 2p. It was closed. No message on the door. Online, they are open 11a-7p on Saturdays. Went to the Thai restaurant in the same plaza. Like the ratings given, this other restaurant was only so-so. So disappointed I wasn't able to try Banana Leaf.

Best fried rice I’ve ever had. The spices were amazing. And the sausage inside the fried rice was packed with flavor- a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to trying the other dishes.

I always find it interesting that Laotians are so good at making Thai food that suits my taste bud. If you are a fan of spicy food, these guys know how to make it spicy. The prices are cheap, the serving portions are huge and the appetizers (crying tiger, fried pork belly, sausage) are also great. This place deserves more recognition for how good it is. It's my favorite Thai restaurant, and I could order from here every week.

Found this gem in HB! We use to have to drive to Garden Grove for authentic Lao/Thai food but stumbled upon this place by accident. Owner is nice and food is great!

Amazing, first time trying it here but before i try any restaurant i kept asking all my co-workers if they have tried this restaurant before. I work with so many people and non have tried this restaurant before because they were all thinking the exact thing I was curious about. They dont really have any single rice plates so when your ordering for take out you have to order rice separately so all the dealerships here typically each sales person who orders would want rice meals and like how I ordered the fried pork belly and just plain rice the meal seems very dry. I wish there was a way where the restaurant provides a small bowl of curry or soup to make a small meal for single order people, this would def bring many more people in if they can create some type of rice combo. Most of my co-workers felt the same where they would have tried it if they can order a combo with maybe a small soup and either the sausage or the fried pork belly. This restaurant to order the fried pork belly and a soup or curry with rice it'll cost like $30 for 1 person. I came in around 1:30pm so inside it was just a bit dark since only a few tables are inside. Loved the pork belly but wont be coming back here again unless a fried would order with me and they get a soup or curry and I get something so we can share.

Can't say enough about this place. From the crying tiger, to the holy basil, etc. The owner is super nice and makes amazing food, and at a fair price. I tell all my friends about Banana Leaf Kitchen.

Some of the best Thai food in the area. It is cheaper than it should be for how good the food is. I would say that you should be prepared to wait a while for your food especially if others are in front of you, but that is because they really do make it fresh and don't rush the process. Highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Thai food

My 2nd time there. Ordered Red Curry w/chicken to go, steamed rice. Asked that curry be spicy w/a 'kick'. Got what I asked for. Certainly was a kick. Sooo good ??.Again, Banana Leaf is definitely one of the CLEANEST eateries around. Dare say it puts some of the big names to shame. It's now the major reason I go. The food also, of course ???

Lao sausage and coconut soup was great! Can't wait to try it again. Service was very friendly.

The food was good, it's around a 20 minute wait, but you're waiting for freshly cooked food, so no complain there. I will say, the reason I rated this place a 3 was because I ordered mango sticky rice and they gave me just sticky rice.

I absolutely LOVE Banana Leaf Kitchen. I have to admit...I order pickup or delivery from here about 6 times a week. Everything is fresh, authentic and so delicious! Their Jalapeno Sauce is so addicting that I order about 4 extra each time. My favorite items are the Papaya Salad, Deep Fried Pork Belly and of course, the sticky rice! Be careful when you order medium spice, I eat spicy and medium is HOT! So good but whew - hot! Parking is so simple since it's located in a plaza so can pop right on in and out. They're always so sweet and the quality is top notch. It's a MUST try!

This is more of the take out. They only have a few tables. We call before getting there so minimum wait. The food is good and the service is great. Menu is very limited. The only salad they offer is the papaya salad and it is spicy for medium. We loved the Lao sausage and the crispy pork belly.
