After reading all the great reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We wish we had skipped it. Maybe it was an unrealistic expectation; but when a restaurant is named Cafe Cup, we expect the coffee to be at least decent. The coffee we were served tasted old and burnt. Disgusting. There was only one positive we can agree with other reviewers on, and that's that the server was friendly. We didn't last long enough to rate the food. The interior of the restaurant is small with just a few booths and some counter space; and it was extremely loud inside. We could barely hear our waitress over all the noise, and once the baby at the table next to us started screaming, being inside the restaurant was unbearable. We were extremely relieved that we hadn't ordered yet and were able to leave.

Super adorable, old school, cash only diner. After a quick search for a breakfast spot, my husband solely chose Cafe Cup because it had a kids menu-what a great & concerned dad. But unbeknownst to him, any menu can be a kids menu- LOL. Since I was driving & we were a family of 6, I decided to just go with his decision. Cafe Cup is about 10 minutes away from the Cruise Ship Terminal-so a quick stop for some hearty breakfast after our cruise vacation. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant, we parked by the neighborhood- a quick 2 minute walk. We stopped on a Tuesday morning, approximately 9 AM, and we were seated right away. Kids menu entrees were $6; very well priced and sufficient food! Our party ordered the huevos rancheros, an ABC omelette and their French toast (with cream cheese). Food was good- very filling. There were also lots of salsas to choose from. Coffee was overflowing and never did we see the bottom of our mug. They had regular drip coffee and French vanilla drip-loved the options. They even offered us coffee to go! Amazing. Best of all, I enjoyed the service from this restaurant. . Great service, super attentive and quick. If we are ever in the area, we will def stop by! This cafe is small, but offers big portions, big flavor and truly awesome customer service. On this visit (yes we have dined her many times, but somehow missed leaving a review), we ordered a couple of sodas, a combo with pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage, plus a chorizo scramble with potatoes and toast. Oh and of course a side of bacon. The bacon was epic. So many places skimp on the bacon. Their bacon was lengthy and satisfied our taste buds. The ladies taking care of us were super attentive and we had a fabulous experience. Love this place!

If you're looking for a charming breakfast spot, this is the place to try! Friendly, welcoming staff and lots of delicious food! My absolute favorite is their cinnamon rolls(delicious room temperature with the cream cheese frosting they give you or warmed up with some butter)... And if you go on a Friday, you can try the world's most incredible cinnamon roll pancakes!!! ***Cash Only, atm available inside***

Update- Still AMAZING. On Fridays only, they have fresh cinnamon roll pancakes. Best pancake I've ever had in all my years. Had the chili omelette with homemade chili again, delicious. Husband had the French toast, he loved it. Still highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor and check this place out! The food was amazing, huge portions, great prices. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. We will definitely be back next time we're in Huntington Beach. ??
What a ridiculous policy. We left. Long time customers. We were not allowed to sit down until the third person in our party arrived. Booths were open. The counter was completely open. It was a drenching rain. Server was idle. "You can sit down but if another party shows up you will have to get up." They lost our business today and forevermore.

We stopped here for dinner over the holidays. I love the omlette Potatoe plate with lots of side dishes. My first time here, and the food and drinks were good. Sausage meal is delicious as well. Nice casual dining non expensive place. It was pretty chill here. Great menu options, and Great Customer service. Will be my go to spot.
