A charming spot for a casual lunch. We indulged in classic burgers, chili fries, shredded tacos, and loaded chicken fries. The service was prompt, and although the place was small, it offered a comfortable atmosphere. Think of it as an upgraded version of fast food, tucked away on the side streets of Huntington Beach Main St.

I order chicken and baby rib plate and it tasted super great! The staff is so nice to ask if I like white meat or dark meat. Each part of chicken including the white chicken breast is tender and juicy! The restaurant controls the spice well and it fits my appetite less salty and more healthy! A big thumb for people who want to enjoy the fresh premium food, closed to beach but less noise. The Chicken in a Barrel at Huntington Beach is the best choice for you!

We come here regularly and the food and service is always fantastic! I don't know what magic they perform in the "barrels" but the chicken is always juicy, tender and flavorful! In fact, it's the only place where I'll eat breast meat since it's typically too dry, but they really nail it here! And the rest of the barbecue is fantastic too. It's the best meal on Main Street even though they're off Main by roughly a half a block but who's counting!

Ben was amazing and so friendly he helped us choose what too eat because we were from out of town and he made sure to help us with sauce and got us a box to go and a bag with out asking he was so happy and wonderful will definitely eat here again 10/10

We were walking around the beach and chose this place to eat. We were all pleasantly surprised. It's hard to find good bbq in the OC area and this place is much better than many of the popular bbq spots in OC. The chicken was actually tender and pretty moist unlike most places where the chicken ends up overcooked. The bbq sauce had a sweet and smoky flavor, and the dry rub was good. The owners/employees were very nice as well and accommodating. They were also knowledgeable about gluten so if you eat gluten free, you can eat here with confidence. We'll def be back when we're in the area.

Hard and very dry ribs… Taste is fine, sauce is good. I liked that you can buy ribs by piece. A bit pricey for what you get comparing to other restaurants. Salad choice is poor (no cole slaw, etc). Not bad if you are super hungry, but for tasty ribs I would go somewhere else.Update:Yes, I see now there is a coleslaw in the menu, but because it starts in the menu with words “Hawaiian Style…” I have not even read it further, because I was not interested in anything in Hawaiian Style at that moment…
