This place in Huntington Beach has the best sandwiches, the place is rite by the beach but it is never open.You go on their website gives their hours you walk or drive down there and the place is closed. This is happened to me so many times I quit going now really bummed me out because it is great food

Staff was professional and friendly. Food was absolutely wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!
Was a restaurant that we liked and always ate at when on vacation. My wife was looking forward to it again. We came in today 20 mins before their listed closing time. All the chairs were up and no one was at the counter. A minute later an employee came out of the back and said he closed the grill down early and they weren’t serving anymore food. Claimed it was to slow. Pretty ridiculous to turn away customers if you’re slow. Also it’s a grilled cheese place had we been served we still would have been out before their listed closing. Don’t have business hours if you aren’t going to keep them. Left a bad taste in our mouths. We won’t be back and will tell others not to bother.

The Girl working the whole shop by herself was AMAZING! She was literally the only one and she did everything and did it perfectly! PROMOTE HER NOW! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dietary restrictions: Gluten free approvedKid-friendliness: Great kid selection
The restaurant closes at 5pm on Wednesday which is fine. We walked in at 430pm and wanted to order we were ignored by the crew who was cleaning up for a few minutes and when someone finally came to talk with us they told us we could only order the bread and cheese sandwich which was very disappointing. There is no sign or any kind of indication that after a certain time we wouldn't be able to order from the menu. I wish I could review the food but I couldn't bring myself to order a bread and cheese that I could make at home. Management should at least post something if this is the policy so that people don't go out of their way to only be turned down and end up down the street like we did.

Food takes longer than your standard fast food. However this means it's all prepared fresh, and it was worth the wait. Delicious avocado grilled cheese!

It's a tiny little shop but you can see the ocean from outside the front door.Don't sit inside unless you're comfortable with being in close quarters.The drink straws are environmentally friendly tiny, but the sodas taste good (I didn't recognize the brand).I intentionally ordered a plain GC with tomato soup so I could taste the cheese and I wasn't that impressed but maybe I'll try specifying my cheese next time (I like extra sharp cheddar or a nice gruyere).I don't think they use real butter on the bread.Don't be shocked at the prices, they next door to the pier.This is the first time I've been to 5th Street since they remodeled the block and I live about 3 miles just down the road (literally)Parking: Park on one of the cross streets away from Main street and not on 5th.
I payed 14 dollars for a sandwich that didn't come with the avocado and red bell peppers it promised. Pretty bummed I didn't get the sandwich that I wanted

This place is perfection! Just steps from the beach, it's literally my favorite place to eat in HB for a quick snack/lunch. The staff is all super sweet and they are always willing to modify dishes when asked. Last time I got the avocado grilled cheese, but without the bacon. Delicious!! You also have to try the grilled pb&j.... One of the best things I've ever eaten. If you are anywhere in the downtown HB area hit up Grater.... You will not be disappointed!!

I went to the Huntington Beach location at 4:30 on a Sunday and they were closed. I was really looking forward to trying their grilled cheese sandwiches but was very disappointed that they were closed despite all online information (their website, google, and Apple Maps) saying they were open.

Was looking forward to going here after discovering them on Yelp and saw the mouth-watering pictures. I decided to try out the HB location on Sunday. When I got there, the door was open but when I entered, the cashier told me the place was closed and the chairs were already stacked on top of the tables. This was well BEFORE 4:00pm. The stated closing time was 7:00pm so why was it closed so early? Please update your hours on Yelp, Google, and the front doors if you are going to close before the stated hours.
