Gyu-Kaku is a dining haven where every visit promises an unforgettable experience, thanks to its delectable cuisine and impeccable service. The journey begins with appetizers like the spicy jalapeño edamame, packing just the right amount of heat and flavor, and the addictive spicy cucumber, boasting crispy freshness and a savory sauce that keeps you coming back for more. The highlight, however, is the meat selection, with standouts like the toro and yaki-shabu beefs stealing the show. What sets Gyu-Kaku apart is the interactive element of cooking your own meat at the table, enhanced by a variety of sauce options to customize your culinary adventure. For fried rice aficionados, the beef sukiyaki bibimbap is a must-try, served piping hot in a bowl that allows the rice to crisp up beautifully for a textural delight. Garlic lovers rejoice with the garlic noodles, a flavorful favorite that never disappoints. To enhance your experience, reservations are highly recommended, especially on busy nights like Fridays and Saturdays. Gyu-Kaku does offer happy hour specials on select items. They can accommodate small to large parties. With a diverse selection of beer, sake, and other beverages to accompany your meal, attentive service, and convenient parking, Gyu-Kaku delivers a dining experience that will leave wanting to come back.

DEF COMING BACK. came here for the first time to have a goodbye dinner. we reserved a table but still had to wait a bit for our table, not a big worry tho. really friendly and attentative service. nice set up and vibe. amazing meats and variety to choose from the menu for an ayce. we had a fantastic time eating here and the food, drinks, dessert overall were just... chefs kiss. even the simple miso soup given at the beginning to the icecream we had for dessert! everything was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. our favorite was def the toro beef options and the umikara yakibeef + ribeye. icecream was a huge hit for my bf and we left the place full and happy

As a frequent visitor, I love their lunch menu, always pick amomg prime Kalbi short rib, beef tongue, Harami Skirt Steak, Bistro Hanger Steak, and Beef Sukiyaki Fried Rice Bowl, all of required extra pay. Not quite recommend their Filet Mignon, cut in awkward sizes. White rice bowl included in the lunch, no extra charge. Lunch is much more recommended. 2 BBQ items per person is $14.95, 3 BBQ is $18.95. Includes a bowl of miso soup and salad. You can pick no extra charge items from Angus beef, Ribeye, and more, also no extra charge on ordering Basil/Teriyaki/garlic chicken, pork, shrimp. Waiter/waitress are friendly, always welcome us with smiles.

I came here for Orange County Restaurant Week with my brother. Keeley was our server. She was awesome! Very attentive, friendly, helpful, and funny. We both did the Restaurant Week dinner special for $35 per person. It included Half Gyu Kaku Salad, White Rice, Miso Soup, 2pcs Gyu Sushi, choice of appetizers, choice of 1 BBQ set (guess which set I got?), choice of 1 veggie, choice of 1 dessert. Plenty to satisfy any hunger and craving. Meats were well marinated. Everything else was spot-on. The restaurant itself was kept clean. The ambiance was casual and fun. Give this a try for Restaurant Week for sure & you will be hooked to come back as regulars like we are!

My wife says if her sister joins next time then they'll just sit at a separate table and order a la carte, while I sit at my own table and order All You Can Eat lol. They're only interested in the Beef Sukiyaki Bimbimbap (stone rice bowl), the Toro Beef, the Yaki Shabu beef, and the super tender Harami Skirt Steak. Food and drink is discounted during Happy Hour until 6:30pm. We found out if you choose the lowest tier "Premium" All You Can Eat, then you can still order extra items A La Carte that may not normally be included. Here's my run down of what I like so far... Most are "Premium" tier * Means "Ultimate" tier - Excellent --- * Beef Sukiyaki Bimbimbap (stone rice bowl) --- Toro beef (paper thin) --- Yaki Shabu beef --- Harami Skirt Steak (very tender) --- * Kalbi chuck rib (boneless) --- Spicy cabbage salad - Great --- * Filet Mignon --- Umakara ribeye (thin) --- Garlic Spinach --- Garlic Mushrooms --- Cheese Corn --- Zucchini (sauced) - Good --- Bistro hangar steak --- Umakara pork --- * Chicken Karaage no Amy --- * Mochi Ice Cream --- regular Ice Cream - Average --- Garlic Shrimp --- NY steak --- * Japanese sausages (nice sweet; but overcooked) --- Miso soup --- Garlic Shoyu Chicken thigh --- Miso --- White Rice (feeds 3) - Meh --- Spicy Shrimp --- Angus Beef rib (tough; cartilage) --- Vegetable Spring rolls --- * Fried cheese wonton --- Gyoza

Food was great. Juicy and tasty. My husband grills meat to perfection. Our cold beer served in a cold mug . I only drink a beer at this restaurant cuz its very refreshing to me. The atmosphere is lively and waiter and waitress always nice. One of our favorite places to dine. We took a old friend there for first time and he loved it.

My rice was burnt, and the server forgot to give me back my credit card in which I stay an hour away from Huntington Beach. So I have to drive down there waste gas just for the server mistakes.
