Fresh food with a beautiful view of an and the restaurant is beautiful.

Decided to have a Valentine's dinner the day before. I had been here before and it was one of the best restaurants i have enjoyed a meal. It is my kind of place. Small, great ambiance and family owned. However, last night's dinner was a disappointment. We were seated at 645 and promptly served amazing apps of meatballs and their signature eggplant. My date got a Ceasars salad and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. I ordered the scallops and he ordered the beef short rib dish. My dish took over 40 minutes to serve and after 15 to 20 minutes and checking on my date's entre it still wasn't ready. Our server was apologetic but it was just disappointing. I ate my meal which was delicious at the insistence of my date. After about another 5 minutes we told our server we didn't want the entre and could we have dessert and coffee. That took another 10 minutes. The coffee wasn't made correctly, but the cheesecake was amazing. Our server eventually brought my date's entre in a to go bag. I thought wow, that nice, thinking they were giving us the meal to go, but when we got the bill it was on the bill. We told them we didn't want the meal as a $45 ish entre cold the next day didn't sound that great. I asked the server what happened and he apologized and said he didn't properly communicate our order/courses to the kitchen. My scallops were the best I have had and our apps were amazing as I remembered it from my first visit there. This restaurant is one I recommend all the time on Next door app and to friends. Our server may have been new and perhaps should have been shadowed by an experienced server. Our dinner service was an obvious failure and I thought the owner would come speak to us or comp us a dessert or say something, but we were sent on our way. It was the most stressful meals I have had. My date was getting tired and frustrated. I picked the restaurant so I felt terrible about him not getting a relaxing romantic dinner.

We showed up and the waiter claimed he didn't even work there. He said we would be in good hands with the waitress that actually worked there. She told us she's old, single, and needs a man. She asked us what wine we wanted. We picked one. She didn't have it. Then she told us her absolute favorite wine is available. She then poured all of us full glasses before we could ask any questions. I tasted the wine. It tasted like smoked jockstrap mixed with swampy butt. We ordered dinner which was mediocre at best. We left. Then we ordered half a dozen desserts at another restaurant. The night was saved...by leaving. But our water was never empty.

What a GREAT find. Unique, delicious and a delightful atmosphere. Owned by both a mom bringing her treasured recipes and her talented chef daughter, stop by this unassuming, intimate restaurant for a fantastic meal.

The ambiance, the staff, the location, the wine, the Chef, the mom and the food were all amazing. Go eggplant! We went in knowing it would be ok and seemingly good and we left hoping to be regular's and felt like family. But you can feel great and get great service but you want good or even great food too. This food was excellent! I'm not kidding my friend Sharon and I had a blast, visited with everyone and ate some more than great food. Thank you, Diann and Sharon (last night)

We flew into HB last night and friends suggested Heirloom for dinner. Heirloom was not crowded, in fact there was one party of 8, and a table for 2. The place looks lovely. Imagine our disappointment when the hostess/waitress said they wouldn't seat us because they were too busy...mentioning a party of 15 (there were 8, not 15). Not sure why they lied, or turned us away. Maybe they don't like visitors. We went to Green Olive next door and had a very nice meal, super friendly wait staff, and they treated us like all restaurants should treat customers: kindly, welcoming and with respect. We walked past Heirloom as we left Green Olive and, funny story, they had two new customers sitting at the bar and it wasn't us! Guess they did have accommodations after all. This Jersey Girl says stay away from Heirloom and their attitude...they don't respect you or your money.

We've been talking about our meal and the experience to any and everyone willing to listen. It was truly a joy. The food, ambience, service were perfect. Charly, our server effortlessly made us feel very comfortable and welcomed by referring to us each by name and being very attentive to our needs. We will be back for sure. Thanks Leo for developing this amazing concept for Huntington Beach. A true culinary gem!

I have been coming here for quite a few years now. We went for my birthday and it was my husbands first time. He has not stopped talking about how good the food was. I come by myself fairly often when I fall off the grid and take myself for a nice relaxing meal with no kids and no husband. My advice is try everything because it's all delicious. Our faves are the Mac n cheese, caprese, scallops with risotto, steak with asparagus, and croquettes. You won't be disappointed!PS I dream about the risotto (it's that good)PPS they're open for lunch now so stop by when it's nice and quiet.

This is such a secret hidden gem! I'm so glad my mom & I found this place, we couldn't have left happier! The beet salad & fillet & crème brûlée was the best I've had in such a long time the service was spectacular thanks to our wonderful server Charlie and chef Bree is so very talented at her craft. If you haven't checked this place out then you are missing out! If I could give more then 5 stars I would! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

The restaraunt is beautifully decorated. The tomato bisque soup, cauliflower and short ribs are exquisite. I have always enjoyed making conversation with the servers and have always had good service. I love dining here and will keep coming back!!!

I love going to this restaurant. This was my first date with my husband. I love the small intimate feeling. We have not had a negative experience with the waitresses we have had. It does take a little longer to get your food, but we know that going in because everything is cooked to order and always fresh. I personally love the tomato bisque, Heirloom fries and the pork chops. We always end with the cheesecake, if we saved room.

Great ambiance but I didn’t feel welcome. The regular customers received attention. My scallops were not edible. My daughter’s chicken was dry, and service was slow. Wine selection is however amazing.
