Excellent quality and authentic flavor on this Philly cheese steak sandwich...and plenty of meat! Now days, so many places skimp on the meat and basically force ya to pay for extra meat in order to get a proper sandwich, but not John's. John's loads it up the right way! Also, the order of fries is massive...enough for 3 people.

The sandwiches are so good I think they add something to make you crave them! I'm hooked on the steak and mushroom. It's so big I either get two meals or need a friend to take half. Perfect treat on the way to or from the beach.

The food was delicious, but the star of this visit was Zach (sorry if I misspelled your name). I was the first customer of the day and his customer service was some of the best I've ever had in my life! It was my first time visiting this establishment and he walked me through the menu giving me insight on was the popular items are. I went with his favorite Philly, "The Works". I also wanted a soda and he recommended the Hanks bottle soda. The root beer was a perfect pairing. I got a half order of fries and he suggested I try out their garlic pepper sauce. While I waited for my food, he was telling me about the place and pointed out the newspaper articles up on the wall. The Philly cheese steak was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and fresh. The garlic pepper sauce was absolute fire ?! On the spicer side, but so perfect on the cheese steak. Similar to The Pepper Plant California style hot sauce to get to an idea of the flavor profile. I bet it would be fantastic on some eggs, but I digress.Zach checked on me to see how I was liking my food and his recommendations. You can absolutely feel how passionate he is to providing a wonderful customer experience, and how much he loves his job. The world needs more people like him. Protect him at all costs, he's a gem. Also, if you can budget in a raise that would be cool. THE MAN ALSO SANG THE TASTYKAKE JINGLE!I will definitely make a stop here next time I'm in town. Thank you for making the world a better place.

Visited over the holidays based on the reviews. Honestly don't know why there are so many five star reviews. The place was a ghost town. Had the original cheese steak, very mediocre, not sure it had any cheese on it. My daughter asked if the chili cheese fries or the pizza fries were better and the employee said neither... So it doesn't seem like the employees even eat there. She went with the chili and they were gross. Chili seemed right out of a can. Steak fries were soggy. Unfortunate because I was looking forward to visiting based on the reviews.

My go to spot every time I get an itch for a Philly cheese steak sandwich they are so delicious and definitely not skimpy regarding portions. I always get the full sized sandwich & magically vanishes into my stomach within minutes! ???Only reason for the three stars in the atmosphere is because it's not much of an atmosphere to rate. There's a small outdoor seating area & you order/pick up your food at the window.? Which I don't mind at all because the sandwich itself makes up for it 10 fold.Parking: The only time I've encountered a hard time finding a parking spot was a day or two after labor day and the place was completely packed but there is a Stop-N-Go liquor store right next to the Philly Grille and there's more parking there.

Everybody always raves about the Philly place that tastes like it's Philly, or the best Phillys in the west! I love a good Philly on a very rare occasion, but craving one. I thought I'd try this hole in the wall, quite unique, sandwich place. You really can't miss it, the Philly Grill is bright, yellow and blue. They take your order through the windows on the cute little shack, but there's also quite a nice patio to sit outside and eat your food. If you're not taking it to go. They have all kinds of unique bottled pops, sides of onion rings, fries, a huge selection of sandwiches, other than just the original Philly. I had an original Philly with mushrooms, half size. My son had a John's special large size. Shared an order of wonderful large cut fries. I went here with the full intention of giving five stars but I feel that my sandwich wasn't made as ordered and it was really soggy and quite a mess. I couldn't differentiate between the bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, or meat? It was great when I added provolone and re-toasted it when it was half eaten lol.And I do you have to say bread was perfect. I will be back to try again, I just think I need to work around the menu little bit.

Update: the owner messaged me with an apology and eventually ended up giving my husband a refund. There aren't many people who would do this, so i really appreciated both the apology and refund and wanted to update my review because customer service definitely makes a huge difference. Thank you for taking care of all of your customers.
