CHECK IT OUT! This is NOT just a grab and go place (as some people think). They make sushi FRESH, and you can custom order. Fish is really fresh, good quality, FRESH ginger, pickled wasabi available. Great to grab to go (not reallly a sit down spot, only maybe 4 chairs?), and have some yummy fresh and good quality sushi at home.

The service and food was good. The only thing I didn’t like is that everything is given to you in go containers. I wish there was more of a wanted feeling for dining in. I stated before the food was made that I was going to eat at the establishment. 7/10

Overall, for a quick bite to eat, we were driving in from vegas and stopped by here. Little spot and quick, quality food. We got the crunch roll with sushi combo C special. Tasty! The lady working the counter was super nice and gave us water for our dog as well. Small spot so don't think you'll be dining inside for an experience- more of a sushi on the go type place in a shopping center.

I ordered take out for the first time from this new, small, hole in the wall spot. The sushi was fresh and have classic rolls. Each order comes with 8 rolls and is come back for more! Greeted very nicely, each roll came well plated with their respective sauce. The wasabi could be spicier and the miso soup was alright but the edamame was great with a nice helping.

Got 4 rolls of sushi and they were all fantastic and fresh. My favorite was the Yellowtail Jalapeño. Talked to the owner a bit, and she was very nice. She and her husband make the sushi themselves.

I am excited to leave a 5 star review for this place. The sushi is so fresh, the staff is friendly and attentive. And the prices are reasonable. It's a small restaurant but very clean and new. We ordered a few plates and everything was delicious!

As first timers we had salmon bowl, California roll with masago and fried chicken plate. Hubby thought salmon tasted fresh and he loved the nice portion. Mom really enjoyed her roll and said everything tasted fresh and portion size was generous. I had the chicken karaage (marinated fried chicken) and it was delicious. Generous portion that was perfectly fried and also tasted really fresh. Plate was accompanied by cold edamame and a cold seafood salad and both were tasty. This was convenient for us as we placed our order and then went to shop at Trader Joe's. Food was ready after we finished shopping. Will definitely come back again. Forgot to mention that servers were very nice and very helpful.

this place is such a great find! the menu is small enough that they can execute every well, but diverse enough that you can try different things. we ordered takeout and got a sushi combo, salmon and bluefin sushi, two hand rolls, udon, and tonkatsu curry. everything was delicious! as a japanese person who very frequently gets sushi and also has worked in several sushi restaurants, i know a bit about fish quality etc, and the sushi was the star of the show. both the salmon and tuna were soft and melt in your mouth, and the cut of fish was generous as well. my boyfriend had never tried tonkatsu before and he took one bite and said "that's comfort food" and it is. he did say the udon broth was a bit too fishy for him, and while i agree it is fishier than some udon broths i've had, i still liked it and ate the whole bowl myself. the prices were also very reasonable especially compared to some sushi spots with equal or even worse quality fish (like sushi on fire which i personal do not like) overall expectation were vastly succeeded and we definitely will be coming back! be sure to check out this spot

Stopped by to grab a quick meal and was so surprised by how delicious the food was and how caring the service was! We got the sushi combo, Japanese bbq beef and the fried chicken plate and it was amazing! If we come back to this area, would definitely go again!

For takeout on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. We needed food in between doctors' appointments. In my Yelp search a few days before, this small Japanese business had come up in suggestions and seemed like the perfect place to get some takeout food. We hadn't been to this shopping center since daughters' high school days. It has been renovated. We were greeted as soon as we entered the establishment. I knew that I wanted the pork tonkatsu curry plate. My younger daughter brought to the counter a spam Musubi and also ordered a salmon avocado roll and a salmon skin roll. Other daughter ordered a beef yakiniku plate. The order would take 15 minutes. While we waited, I noted that there was homemade panna cotta available as well as snacks at the counter for sale. They were trying to introduce udon as well as blue crab roll. Younger daughter started on her Spam Musubi. Older daughter wanted some of it. She should have gotten her own. If you are used to 50% reduced salt Spam, you will think that the Musubi is salty. There are about 4 tables to eat at outside with QR codes to access menu. Since we had to get to our next doctor's appointment, we took our food with us in the car. The plates come with a noodle salad. The plates are not American-sized, but are the correct portion size from a nutritionist/dietitian perspective. Food was tasty. Daughter can't wait to come back to try other items.

Highly recommend Komeya for Japanese plates and rolls at very competitive/reasonable prices combined with excellent courteous and efficient service. Our first visit and thoroughly enjoyed the curry, crunchy roll, udon, tonkatsu (pork cutlet) and spicy tuna roll. Komeya is next to Trader Joes with 2 small tables inside and a few tables outside. This is definitely a "keeper."
