Great food , solid drinks Local bar but this post is more about the quality of staff and customers . My dumb ass walked out of the bar without my wallet. The wallet and all of its contents were turned into the bar intact. I had a fair sum of cash and some gift cards in it . I was so stoked to get it back and didn't have to cancel credit cards etc. I gave the bartender a hundred and said buy some drinks and throw rest in the tip jar. This place earns your business. Don't forget to try the steak !!!! Cheers

I was impressed by this bar! It seems like a spot for locals but it was packed early in the evening. Big menu, lots of drinks/taps The seating is a little weird but the servers were great. Only had drinks but I'd come back to try the food.

My good buddy and I rolled in here at a bit after noon. All the tvs were on but the big ones had the women's beach volleyball on. It was looking like an epic lunch. There were 8 Fountain Valley Police Volunteers at the big front table eyes glued to the big tv. The service was spectacular, friendly and fast. The menu is big but it was Hamburger Wednesday. My friend got the Patty melt with onion rings, I had the roast beef melt with the Ortega chile. The bar is well stocked but I opted for a cup of nice fresh hot coffee. It is a dive bar, it was loud, it was dark, but lunch was good! The women's beach volleyball was fast and fun. I wish they had profiteroles for dessert, but otherwise it was perfect.

I stopped by today Sunday 1/14 and the place was packed!I got served by the awesome waitress Lauren. She was very in point and attentive, you can tell she truly cares about great customer service. 10/10! Thanks again Lauren!
Chill as hell place to plant your butt and enjoy a game. Had a couple of ladies tell me to get the burger here, so I figured I'd put the money where my mouth is and get their namesake O'Connell burger... if the only complaint I have about a burger is the raw, too-thick onions....yeah it's a damn good burger.If y'all read these, I'd suggest grilled onions (or a way thinner slice) on top your classic burger.I also went with the half and half side, got 3 big onion rings with fries. They know their stuff! Seems like they get the membrane off the onion, so it's a clean bite, with crispy batter. Your usual fluffy-crispy, not quite steak fries....and the egg was perfect, mix of runny yolk with a creamy over-medium shell.Drinks were ice cold, tasty food, Bartender Jordan and everyone else were friendly on both sides the counter....a perfect hole-in-the-wall that, if you don't know, now you do, and you're behind. Give this place some love. I know I wanna come back and see how the rest of the food is!

I popped in here Saturday for a bit of the game, but had a tough time finding seats since it is pretty much a locals only Irish pub. But they still pour a really good drink. Unfortunately I didn't eat, but I will next time!
