I rarely type reviews because I don't want to hurt businesses when they are trying to make it out there (unless it's something egregious about food safety or taste). Slow Fish far exceeded my expectation. Their Fat Avo starter is an opulent way to start the meal. I asked for extra extra extra spicy tuna hand roll - because normal extra spicy is not spicy for me, and they actually delivered and made it extra spicy! The tuna tataki left much to be desired - but my wife ordered it and liked it so it's good enough for me. Overall an excellent experience, even during covid times. I will be back.

First things first, my family loves this place. Their seafood is always fresh. Staff is always friendly. Second, recommendations for the owner. Yelp allows you to place orders through Grub Hub. Yelp notified me 15-20 minutes later that my order was received then cancelled. Which was a bummer as I'm a multitasker and was driving to pickup on my way home from work. So I try calling and can't get through. I tried 6-8 times and got the busy signal. So by this time, I'm at the restaurant, place my order and now wait in the parking lot for 20 minutes. I am glad you're busy as I don't want you to close because we love the food and live down the street, but maybe work on logistics for ordering to go.

The best black rice sushi EVER.., love this place Everything on the menu is good.. I really like that I do not have to eat white rice, black rice is so good for you.. we come here because of it!

Solid people who do great at sushi, they so not mess around with pandemic precautions or putting out great dishes. I have no idea why their thumbnail pic is so shitty, but don't let that stop you it's pretty solid food - and this from a sushi snob, who was spoiled living across the street from one of the best chefs in CA history. Their food is on point, friendly and they don't embrace any stupid ideas like others in the city, you can dine here safely. If you want a low key experience where you are not screaming over the staff screaming some song and just good food this is a great spot. Anyway time to cut this short and order my food and support good people! Cheers stay safe! =)

I had a large take-out order and when the staff realized that there was one missing item from my order after I had left, they called to tell me their mistake. I went back to pick it up and do not regret it! The food is delicious and the customer service is great. I tried a bit of everything (gyoza, many specialty rolls, famous fat avo, bulgoki, eclipse shrimp, and yellowtail) and it was delicious! Great quality. Next time I'll try the black rice.

Just okWe are super into delicious food and although this place is not bad it’s not great either...The staff was super nice, there was no wait for our pickup.The salmon and uni were not great, the rainbow roll was chewy. Great spot with fresh sushi. Friendly and fast service and very seasonable prices. They have lots of variety, and plenty of hot and non- sushi dishes if you have people in your party who aren't sushi fans. We enjoyed their no rice roll called the Love and Albacore Delight.

Great fish, creative small plates - try them! Bacon wrapped asparagus! Nice toppings on the sushi, well done. If they had more exotic imported fish, it would be totally top drawer. Good covid protocol too.

Went here last night for the first time and I was very impressed. First off, they make black rice which I didn't know was a thing! I wasn't brave enough to order it but others in my party ordered it and they said it was really good! The restaurant let us put in a reservation for 5 earlier in the day. Glad we did because the restaurant is so small with maybe a total of 8 tables. I definitely felt safe though and everyone there wore masks! I didn't get anything too exciting but I did get the spider roll. It was a very large roll so I ended up having to cut the roll in half to eat it. It was really good though! What got me was how inexpensive everything was and the service was excellent. I will be back here for sure!

I've been here at this local hidden sushi bar couple times, Super nice staff, they're doing fine in, If you're into special rolls , all you gotta do is ask the chef. I love the sushi's and appetizers. Turo is always great here as well as the uni. Give them a try , you won't regret it.
