Unfortunately, after eating here about 10 times over a few years (we are from out of the area), I got food poisoning from my dinner last night 3/26. I am extremely sick (fever, vomit, stomach issues, etc)and this is the culprit. I had a chicken burrito that tasted fine but I am wondering how many others got sick from food here last night too…We will not be returning. I would not recommend either due to this. This is terrible and unfortunate because this is a place we have enjoyed.

Our 2 experiences here have been well worth it. From the margaritas to the appetizers to the dishes, it's all good. But what makes it so good is the service. Undeniably great customer service. The atmosphere is fun and family. Birthdays are celebrated nicely and we felt very comfortable.

This is a great neighborhood Mexican, restaurant and bar. They have very good margaritas. Their food is very good and straightforward. Good place for kids where you can be loud and have some room. Professional weight staff. Family run for several generations. I definitely recommend it if you're not looking for anything fancy but just good Mexican food and a good margarita at a fair price.

Three of us went here for lunch today. We had a taco, enchilada plate and my son had a beef burrito with no rice and beans. We had 3 bears and one margarita. The bill came to $92.15. The margarita that I had was a 4 oz ice slurpee. I couldn't taste a drop of tequila. It cost $12.45! Each beer cost $7.75. The place was empty. Maybe 4 tables in use. My husband had a fit over the bill. It used to be a fun place with reasonable prices. We won't be going back.

I like Super Mex and have for years. I was sad to see their Fountain Valley location close, that was my go-to spot and they used to have a carnitas family meal back in the day for $19.99, enough to feed 4. Whether it's their chicken and cheese enchiladas, or their chile verde burrito with tomatillo sauce on top, I'm always leaving full and happy. I end every meal here with a flan, which though not the best Flan I've ever had, is still pretty good. The chips are tostadas that you break up and use to scoop their freshly made salsa. The chips can taste stale but the salsa is always fresh. The beans are smooth, restaurant style, and the rice is decent. I haven't been disappointed with much here and have been coming here for over 20 years, so that says something. Well that's this critic's review, until next time I'll be eating.

My husband and I have been going here for years and have never had a problem. My husband does have a trained and certified service dog who has gone with us many of times. Today was the first time that we had gotten any resistance from some man I have never seen before, I am assuming he was the manager. I ended up leaving with my husbands dog to go sit in the car as the manager was watching every thing we did, even though his dog was calmly sitting under the table between my husbands legs just as he was trained. Did not feel like sitting there and being watched or judged while trying to enjoy a meal. We will never be returning to this facility ever.
Came here after never getting served at the Brewing Co a few doors down. Bartender literally served another customer who came to the bar after me. Left and decided to try this little gem instead. Sat at the bar and we were treated like royalty. Amazing service, delicious cocktails and food, and really felt like valued customers. As locals, this was a such an awesome discovery. Will be back again soon, for sure!

Ended up here by accident after receiving crappy service at a place nearby, so glad we did! Loved the food, the attentive service and the local feel. Margaritas were delicious and the bartender was so friendly and funny! Had the combo fajitas and even had dessert, churros and ice cream. Such a fun time and satiated every food craving I had. Can't wait to go back, and even better that I'm just around the corner!
