I've been in the Hospitality/Food Service Industry for over 30 years. Unfortunately, this establishment was one of the worst experiences I can remember. Ordered Osso Bucco, from the menu, with a side of Spaghetti. Server, who was more focused on closing the restaurant than giving us a pleasant experience as diners, mind you, brought Spaghetti. The sauce was too sweet and I could tell white sugar had been used as a sweetener. Even still. I patiently waited for the Osso Bucco, and after 10 more minutes, now 40 minutes since we ordered, asked politely "Is the Osso Bucco still being prepared?" She answered "You didn't order Osso Bucco, you ordered Spaghetti!" I told her I did order Osso Bucco. My dinner date joining me this evening reiterated: "Yes, he ordered Osso Bucco, and it's his birthday. " She replied "I know you didn't order Osso Bucco, because we no longer serve this dish. I wouldn't have taken this order!" After debating why they still have an item on the menu they no longer serve, and asking to order something else, because I didnt care for the Spaghetti, and wanted something more substantial, she told me the kitchen was closed. My dinner date also had ordered Lasagna she didn't like, suggesting it tasted freezer burned and rubbery. I didn't try it, but trust her judgment as someone who doesn't often complain at restaurants, also being a longtime member of the service industry as a bartender, server and caterer. We asked to speak with the owner, who we assumed was the guy sleeping on a stool at the empty bar. He refused to talk to us, saying "Too bad, you ate it, were closed" I told him I felt insulted and was very unhappy with our experience. He told us to pay and leave. I told him that was no way to treat paying customers. He said, you don't need any more food, you're too fat. I told him, I chose to come here for my birthday, and obviously made a mistake, I won't be returning. He said "good, pay and leave" I said, "I just can't believe you treat customers this way" He proceeded to call the Police (Who took their time responding) as we paid our bill, in full, without any comps for our less than hospitable experience. We left before the Police came, so as to not waste the valuable time of the local law enforcement officers, but later found out someone had driven a car through this guy's restaurant window a week later. In summary: DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE. LET MY LESSON BE YOUR GUIDE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT!

I have gone to this gem of an Italian restaurant for years. Highly recommend to all. I now live in South Orange County but the drive to HB is always worth making.

This was the grossest food and one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. After the waitress took my order, she only came by to deliver my meal and then to deliver the check. Never checked to see if I might want butter with my bread or a refill of my drink. It wasn't like the place was packed. There was only one other party in the dining room when I was seated. I ordered the vegetable lasagna. It was made with vegetables that tasted freezer burned and the sauce was a bit salty. The portion was quite large, but it didn't matter as it was barely edible. I live just around the corner and thought this would be a convenient place I could go to regularly. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

It certainly has that old school dinner house vibe going for it. Piano and lounge singer as well. The service was attentive and our server was pleasant. The food. Not particularly something I would recommend. I ordered a veal dish with pasta. There was standing water in the bottom of the undercooked, under drained pasta. The sauce was on the level of Ragu. The ham topping was dry and chewy. The veal was tough and chewy and overall someone dumped a shaker of salt onto my dish apparently as it was incredibly salty. Definitely never going back.

Great food, Great service, and I LOVE the old school Italian restaurant feel! I had the Meat Cannelloni - and it was AMAZING! My wife had Chicken Masala and it was delicious as well. We will be going back!

My mom had my baby shower here before I was born and we've gone back for special occasions ever since. I've grown up coming here and definitely have a nostalgic connection to it so of course I may be biased. The ambience is very calm and comforting since it's relatively small. The food is fantastic and through every experience I've had here wether I've been with family, friends, or significant others, we receive excellent service.

I have been to multiple Italian restaurants including lascaris, fredallino, Mama cozza's, Vinny's in La Habra,Dominic's in Cypress all are 199% better than the dry old tasteless scraps they served us. I have eaten Italian food my whole life I am Italian and I have to say that your restaurant was very very disappointing. Little Caesars has a better Pizza didn't know how to make sauce they don't do not know how to make Italian so I don't know who the cook is back there but he needs to take some lessons. The worst food have ever had I would never go back there. The bread was dry and tastless like cardboard. Nothing tasted homemade nothing had any flavor. Italian food is loaded with all kinds of herbs and garlic and oil and flavor no flavor to that food at all it tastes like a came out of a can!!

I had 5 courses meal and it was the best meal ever made as well as I enjoyed each one of the meals. The staff was also amazing and friendly. I recommend them and the restaurant building looks absolutely incredible.

Dark interior, but very comfortable and pleasant. The service and food are very good, and the entertainment (singers Eclips3 ) really make it nice.
