Well... they are closing their doors on November 7, 2023.I don't feel like doing a creative writing exercise, so here's my thoughts in a quick list.Food was okayAmbiance was okay, especially by Imperial Beach standards. The employees weren't ever horrible to meNo real service, (you picked up your food and brought it to your own table) but they expected a tip when you paid for your food but before they bring your food, because reasons, I guess.Location was super convenient as I literally lived around the corner.Their Cobb salad was the best item on their menu.Their burgers were solid, but after eating here for a few years, everything kinda just tasted the same.I always felt like I paid more than what I got, so I usually would just not go here, unless I literally had no other choice.Usually that conundrum then self-talked me into cooking at home, and I was always happy I did.So, why did they go out of business?I can't talk for everyone but it just wasn't a good value that made me feel good about going there and every time I did break down and go there I was reminded of that fact.I could pay a little more and get way better at the IB Forum, or I could pay a lot less at Mike Hess across the street, assuming that you like tacos and stuff like that.It was just the worst of all categories for a restaurant. Also, that new point of sale system that tries to guilt you into an automatic 25% tip on getting your food from a cashier has got to be silently killing a lot of restaurants. Whenever I encounter such things, I make a point of never going back and that's cut down on 2/3 of my routine dining out.Food is way too expensive already, but now they want another 25%.Nope! Keep your food, and your guilt trips.Anyways, if the owners are reading this, this is what that place tanked.Sorry

My friend and I went to Coronado Brewing Company and had a great time. The brewery offers open seating, allowing guests to order at the counter and find a seat of their choice. We started by trying the Salty Crew Blonde Ale, a refreshing beer with a crisp and light flavor. It was a great way to begin our happy hour and complemented our meal perfectly. One of the highlights of the menu was the Spanglish Fries Carne Asada. This appetizer featured a generous portion of fries topped with flavorful carne asada, melted cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños, chipotle cream, cotija cheese, and cilantro. Each bite was a burst of delicious flavors and textures. However, we found that the portion of meat was slightly smaller than expected, which is why I am giving them four stars from my rating. We also enjoyed the Fish and Chips, which consisted of beer-battered Alaskan cod accompanied by garlic fries, cocktail sauce, and tartar sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy and golden exterior and tender, flaky flesh. The garlic fries added a nice touch, and the sauces provided a tangy and creamy complement to the dish. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. The open seating arrangement allowed us to find a comfortable spot, and the counter service made ordering quick and easy.Overall, our experience at Coronado Brewing Company in Imperial Beach was fantastic, earning it four stars. The Spanglish Fries Carne Asada fell slightly short in terms of meat portion, but the flavors and overall quality of the dishes were excellent. If you're looking for a laid-back brewery with delicious food and a great selection of beers, Coronado Brewing Company is still a must-visit.

Who in their right mind decided MC Hammer and Will Smith rap consistently cranked to the highest possible decibal would be a good vibe for a bar at the beach? Service is ok, food and beer are good (though pricey), but the music TOTALLY kills the vibe. ?

Great beer! Tiny patio for dogs. Great on a nice warm day.

Excellent service, beer, and food to finish the work week.Blackened Ahi sandwich. Seasoned well enough and had delicious crust. 2 large pieces of fish were too big to eat as sandwich, so I improvised.Paired with coleslaw, solid side. At in the patio and food was delivered.

First time here, enjoyed grilled fish tacos with tater tots. The tacos were very tasty and perfectly grilled. Served with your choice of sides and corn or flour tortillas.Others in our group had the bacon burger, turkey burger, and shrimp tacos. Beach setting provided a comfortable lay back atmosphere and service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Put this one on your list.

Came here at the advice from the shop we just visited. Small place located on Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach.I was advised to order the tater tots with my order and they were were indeed a surprise even with the Shrimp Tacos, what a surprise of a dish and incredibly tasty and delicious. The Serrano chiles gave them a slight kick. The service was great as well.

Their chicken sandwich was incredible. I always get a chicken sandwich when we try a new place and this one has been one of the best I’ve had! Also tried the coleslaw and side salad and both were exceptional. If you get the side salad definitely get the Basil vinaigrette. Will be returning for the chicken sandwich!

As drivers terrible experience the food is never ready on time. Sometimes you have to wait up to 20 mins no thx. I stopped doing business here. Apparently they prioritize in person customers over app customers. Bad customer service.

I love coming here , especially because it’s walking distance from my home . I love the beer and the Kombucha. They have $5 deals on Tuesdays. It’s a really great atmosphere if you want to bring your children too. They have kids meals and coloring with paper for them too. Food is bomb. The only thing I give it 4 stars is the girls in the front have no positivity. They are always very serious , no smile whatsoever , as if they’re mad being there. Defiantly better service at the cashier .

Nice little brewery on Imperial Beach. Ample and unique seating. Food items look enticing, although didn’t try. Recommend the second story deck to take down some brews!

Very nice set up for a brewery basically right off the beach. This location has all of the same classic beers served at other locations. Some parking is available and plenty of street parking too. Overall the brewery has a great atmosphere for a laid back craft brewery on the beach.
