The food is so great. But one night my boyfriend placed an order over the phone. They got everything wrong and instead of offering a refund or for them to make the order correct they told us sorry we're closed. Don't they know that's how they lose customers? Their customer service needs some fixing.

Ordered by phone a box of chicken and other items waited for about 30 minutes when I got to the counter they said they sold out of chicken waste of time been come here for years. Very disappointing.

Not from the area so my rating won’t come from the nostalgia most people seem to have about this place. It’s Bad. The Burger was made for a 4 year old. The patty was well over cooked and topped with government cheese.Same with the chicken sandwich. I asked for lettuce and tomato to be added and they said they don’t use tomatoes or lettuce at their restaurant. The lady then proceeded to say it’s delicious.. It was a giant chicken nugget in between buns with no nutritional value and a weird sauce.What was good was the shake and the pastrami sandwichThumbs down for friesOverall cool stop for “historic” purpose but the food ain’t all that. I would stop by for a shake but that’s maybe it.It’s insane how many good reviews this place has. It definitely did fool me. so if you like decent food…. Drive an extra few miles2 stars cause the lady was nice.

If you’re looking for cheap, frozen, fried food, this will probably satisfy you. Otherwise you will be disappointed.The quality of the chicken and pastrami was very lacking, as was the lack of any real fresh food options. Even when compared to other fast food restaurants such as Chick Fil A and In N Out, “burger box” does not stack up, even at its slightly cheaper pricing. The only saving grace was the kind service workers and cheerful atmosphere, but even so I would not be back again.

It's a small location but you can't miss it the big sign. The place reminds me of a movie filmed a long time ago when they use to wear shakes to delivery your order. When I pulled up there was a line, I was able to order quickly though. The ladies behind the window was very nice. I placed my order and the price was shocking, not bad for 2 order of fry chips and 2 burgers 1 with pastrami, it came out to be $16 with change. After getting home I see why. The burgers are small so are the fries, so it was more of a snack than a meal. lol the burgers was good so no complaints.

I'm 61 and I've been going there since I was around 6 or seven years old. My dad took me there on our way to salton sea fishing. We would stop at the bait store next door. The foundation is still there. I had lunch there today and just love the double cheeseburgers and fries. My uncle Kenny worked at the gas station there before I was born. Lots a memories.😁

Maybe I'm just not their typical customer but the whole experience was very odd. Ordering is confusing, waiting process doesn't make sense, onions and pickles were overboard, burger and bun was good, French fries are actually potato thins. Non food related, parking is weird, building looks like it should be condemned, there were feral cats running around, guy digging into the trash for food. I was hoping for a good old school experience but this was just sad.
