They are made "Subway" style because you can choose your ingredients, they have several cheese and sauce options and a wide variety of toppings (all very fresh) and they cook the pizza in a stone oven. “We had dinner at Ciro's and it was so enjoyable. We arrived in time for the Early Bird specials. I had the tortellini marinara and my husband had the chicken parmesan. Each came with a small salad. We also ordered a medium pizza, half pepperoni and half mushroom, knowing we would take part of it home. The food was hot and delicious. We ordered the pizza with thin crust and it was also delicious. Kayla wasn't actually our server, but she pitched in with drink refills and boxing leftovers. Everyone was pleasant. This is now our go-to Italian restaurant!“
“This is a fabulous, moderately priced Italian restaurant. Lat visiting Palm Springs/La Quinta area we ate here 3 times.Food was amazing and portions large. Lots of seniors there and the seemed to love this place. It has been here for over 50 years.We had everything from lobster/crab cannoli, to massive pork shank, to spinach salads, to pizza and more.Try it.“
“Small intimate little Italian restaurant. The owners are delightful and we enjoyed their personalized service and the farmers market to menu approach. Fresh home made pasta and very unique specials of the day were a hit. We throughly enjoyed the scallop carpaccio it was delicate and delicious! Pasta is homemade so not heavy and melts in your mouth. We will be back!“
“My wife and I stopped for a light lunch at the Seeet Basil Eatery in Palm Desert. We were greeted by Martin with a big smile. He showed us to a great table outside. It was a beautiful day. My wife suggested the Caprese salad. That was a wonderful choice. Fresh mixed greens with yummy soft Burrata and excellent balsamic. This fantastic salad came with heirloom tomatoes and some red onion. We asked Martin for a little fresh Parmesan to top our salad and a little olive oil on the side. This was an outstanding lunch, honestly one of the best Caprese salads I’ve ever had. I’m so glad my wife decided to stop here. I left Martin a great tip he earned every penny of it. When you get good food and good service be sure to leave a great tip! I would highly recommend the Sweet Basil California Eatery to anyone. This was truly a 5 star experience!“
“We stumbled into Karen's Cafe during a recent trip to Palm Desert, and it's a new favorite! All of our breakfast items were amazing, from the biscuits and gravy to pancakes. I have been spoiled and do not want to have pancakes anywhere else ???“
“We have been here 3 different times over the years on our trips to the desert- came here when they first opened with our boys years ago- pizza just like we had in Italy Second time was at Christmas a couple years ago when we met family out here and wanted a place that would have something for everyone in a party of 14. Everyone loved it- mussels, calamari, pastas, pizza... Then we came here late last night after we got into town- here for our spring break get away sans kids- Sunday night, super busy, no rezzies, sat at the bar- ordered happy hour pizzas and drinks- with cannoli for the finish!! Darlings- it was ALL phenomenal! I got the prosciutto and arugula and hubby got the chicci-chicci and claimed it was amazing. I devoured my 4 slices after claiming I wasn't sure I could eat the whole thing and was probably going to take some home. Cannoli was just like the best I had in Rome by the Spanish steps! Even had a bit of orange zest!! Even sitting in the worst seats in the bar (on the end where servers pick up drinks and drop off dirty glasses) wasn't bad- servers were especially friendly and fun! Great atmosphere!! Going back this week while we are here!!“
“We arrived early - servers were not available to serve until 5 so we were put outside despite having requested inside seating. A few minutes later guests were being inside leaving us feeling we were lied to. The meal was incredible- service great. Really a wonderful evening tho started poorly.“
“Don’t let it’s location deter you (sandwiched between Marvyn’s Magic Theater and Cinemark Century La Quinta and XD), the outside isn’t a true reflection of what you’re about to experience inside.Kiki’s strikes a perfect balance, offering a laidback yet upbeat atmosphere that doesn’t put you to sleep nor overwhelming—not easily achieved for a new restaurant to the valley.The precedence is set by the staff who are all of the things you’d hope for but don’t always find. Everyone consistently delivered welcoming interactions throughout our visit, especially our server River. While we had great conversations with him during our visit, he embodied everything that Kiki’s is striving (and successfully) standing for. And his insightful menu recommendations didn’t disappoint:What I tried and would try again and again:- The Hamachi Crudo – If this was the only dish I ordered, I still would’ve been happy.- Caesar Salad – The last time I had a Caesar Salad this fresh was homemade from a family friend, so fresh you would’ve believed they caught the anchovies themselves.- Rigatoni Bolognese – 95% of the pasta made at Kiki’s is made fresh and you can taste it. “My mother in law wanted to go here for her birthday. It didn't look too impressive from the outside in a strip mall, but it had great ambience once inside. The service was perfect, friendly and efficient. The rack of lamb was delicious and the Hungarian dishes that my wife and mother in law had were authentic, per my MIL. We will definitely eat here again“
“The place looks more expensive than it is with Italian decor of hand-painted walls of people and places of Italy. The food is delicious - I had a nice salad and two slices of New York style pizza. My server was perfect in being there at the right time with the right attitude and the right thing, being both unobtrusive and available, which is not an easy skill to master and shows the caliber of training and attention to detail. “I'm impatient . But I'm not stupid . I like to order ahead of time like today. Just to beat the wait time by getting ready and getting in my car and driving and picking up my phone to call it in. .not only is it so simple . But does it always come out 110% every time . Never dissatisfied . Call me a fat ass I could care less . With such delicious food as simple as spaghetti and meatballs with a few garlic buttered toasts . You cannot go wrong . And I'm not gonna say I'm a critic or anything . But out of the many Mario's around . I recommend the Palm Springs, Bermuda dunes, I haven't tried the one in Palm desert or the one on Varner by Stater bros but not trying to throw too much shade . The Indio one was exceptional . The service and ambiance was equivalent to the ones I have been to . But the food was not . Not only did I feel as though I was skimped out on my portions but do I feel I was stolen from . Cause they charge the same price as the great ones like this one i am commenting on . But they did not serve it to my basic requirements . It was cold for mine and my girlfriends . And although she was kind. Our server . She was rushing and in a hurry and to me meant they were understaffed . None the less I only expect improvement from them if they want to continue business but who am I right lol . Also here is a pic of my empty large spaghetti and meatballs . I don't care . “I moved here full-time a few months ago. We wanted to try an Italian restaurant we'd never been before. Ristorante Gina's popped up. I was a bit leary of the reviews saying the food lack taste but we gave it a go. Ristorante Gina's did. NOT disappoint. The service was friendly. We did not have reservations (which I highly recommend), so we got on their walk-in waitlist and were seated accordingly. I'm pleasantly surprised at the portions and pricing of their dishes. The portions were moderate and pricing was fair. Too many restaurants fill your plate and over charge. In my opinion, everything was "on-point". Thank you for a lovely Monday night evening.“
“Love round table Pizza for all the garlic that they put in their pizzas and garlic twists.The only reason it gets a four star rating instead of 5 is because sometimes they're a little inconsistent and don't put enough garlic on the twists , so they end up little dry or not flavorful enough.Other than that, it's our favorite spot!“
