My husband ordered katsu chicken upon returning home he noticed it was teriyaki chicken. I called and spoke to both Audrey and Maria at the Lake Elsinore restaurant and they said that it was he ordered. In all the years we have been eating there we only order Katsu chicken. Audrey proceeded to tell me my husband was hard of hearing and that is what he ordered. Very disrespectful and unacceptable. I hope no one else has experienced this- need to train personnel! I will never go back to the Lake Elsinore restaurant!

Food is great, but service is horrible. I placed an online order last week and went to pick up my food at the given completion time. They hadn't even given my ticket to the kitchen yet. I ended up waiting 45 minutes for my food. I saw parties dine-in and leave before I got my food. Not even an apology.

We were passing by during a road trip and decided to give this place a try and were glad we did!Crazy rush for online orders, to go and dine-ins on the night after Christmas! We got the Hawaiian bbq chicken plate and Kalua pork plate. Absolutely delicious and well cooked! Will make sure to stop there the next time we pass by!

Waited a very long time for this place to open in Indio. When it finally opened, the place was packed, but it didn't disappoint. Portion were generous, food taste yummy, service was good even though many people were still training. Glad to finally have Ono in the valley.

Stepping into this local eatery is akin to embarking on a culinary adventure across the Pacific, where the Aloha Plate awaits to transport your palate to a tropical paradise. The decision was clear: Island Fire chicken to ignite the senses, a touch of teriyaki for a sweet melody, and Chicken Katsu -- oh, the Katsu -- with its armor of golden crispiness, revealing succulent chicken that could make a poet weep.Every crunch of the Katsu was a standing ovation in an otherwise silent auditorium of flavor, while the teriyaki sauce played the role of a smooth-talking crooner, serenading the fiery chicken into a harmonious trio.Dining experience was a joyous festival of textures and tastes. A four-star escapade, highly recommended for anyone who believes that crunch is not just a sound, but an essential spice of life.

We were big fans of this spot. Their customer service has gone far south fast. The drive thru takes for actual ever. They will get your order wrong and double charge you, let you wait for your order for over 40 minutes. When you ask for your refund of the food you never got they will tell you it has been processed( when it absolutely has not been). When you contact r customer service should be expected that it will take several days for Rodolfo Sanchez to contact you back, to ask you to come back into or call him(when he is at the store location) only to have to repeat your card number several times for him to process your refund of the double charged food that you never even got the opportunity to taste. :(

So we have been back here are a few times since the initial visit & found service & food to be great! I downloaded the app & place orders for pick up later in the day. The food is always done on time & fresh & hot. I personally just don't like the flavor of the Island Fire Chicken. I've tried it twice. The sauce is just a weird flavor for me but it's my personal taste. Everything else has been delicious.

I have been waiting for this restaurant to open for a long time. So my son wanted to treat me to dinner and asked me to go to the drive-thru. We were in line for about 30 minutes. There were a lot of cars which was a good sign. We finally got our food. It was hot and smelled terrific. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Mix, a combo meal with beef, macaroni, cabbage, and chicken. I didn't care for rice so I asked for a triple macaroni side instead. I had to wait until I got home after dropping him off at his house. The food was hot and delicious. I noted that there were no extra sauces. The food was tasty. My meal was $15.49. Will I go back, YES! I gave them five stars. One suggestion to the owners, the server was not very friendly.

My experience this time was a whole lot better. I ordered my food online and it said it would be ready in 30 min. Went picked it up and it was ready! Even though it was packed it did not seem all chaotic like there opening week. Great food and service!

today was my boyfriend & i's first time trying OHB and we both had two different experiences.boyfriend - did not like it because multiple chicken pieces had black in the chicken which disgusted him so he didn't finish his food, he said the chicken was very spongy and he did not like the mac salad & didn't like the veggies.me on the other hand really loved the chicken katsu (mine had no black/brown spots) the mac salad was pretty good (didn't try the veggies) i didn't like the bbq chicken or beef. only ate the chicken katsu. (the katsu sauce was good to dip the chicken In)i feel bad that it was a terrible experience for him and that mine was alright. if i were to come back i would definitely get the chicken katsu and mac salad. my boyfriend of course will never be back.total for what we got was $28.04 (made an online order for pickup and when we got to OHB we just walked straight towards the sign that said pickups and told the worker our name and our food was ready exactly at the time it said it was expected to be ready)

It's the first day so they are not going to be five stars... They are still ironing things out. One of the things that I wasn't too happy about but I'm sure there must be a reason... Hopefully it's a good one... Is that I was craving Kalua pork and they didn't offer it in the drive-through... They said that I would need to go inside and pay for it... How come I can't get it through the drive-through? Sounds weird. Is that just for today or what?Anyways, on to the food. Instead of the Kalua pork that I would've had to wait a second time for, I got the short ribs plate and it was good but it's not Kalua pork. The portion size is generous, and the short ribs were tender and fatty and that was delicious. The rice was done well and the macaroni salad was good but not what I'm used to maybe it's their famous tuna being added to it... Still better than trying to add potatoes lol. I'd order it again. Just doesn't have the nostalgia of what I grew up eating. My husband devoured the Hawaiian meat plate... I had a piece of the meat and it was good ...We will be back, and hopefully if we decide to go in the drive-through again, we get the option of ordering Kalua pork... That would probably make this a five star depending on the taste... Anyways, we will be back

If you are looking for tasty BBQ you have to try papa’s BBQ. The tri-tip sandwich is one of a kind and the Ribs are really good. If you are a fan of good BBQ you should definitely give them a try.

Great food, great service. I ordered catering for the holiday and not only was it fresh. They even delivered to my front door. Definitely will be placing another order. This is probably the best bbq I’ve had in a long time! Thank you Papas Bbq
