I'm a new community resident and show up to try their Prime Rib for Saturday dinner special. I'm told that I cant as all meals are reserved. Then they state it's first come, first serve. So a reservation isn't there when I am, but that doesn't work. Who's ever heard of reserving food with your reservation for a first come first served setup? I sure haven't. They've lost my business. Food has never been that great and this kind of setup makes no sense.

Other people at our table seemed to enjoy their food. However, they ran out of the sandwich I ordered, and instead of telling me that, the waitress just brought me a club sandwich instead. Didn't ask what I preferred, just brought it out. I didn't want to send it back and request something else because it would take too long. I brought most of it home to my husband. ??

The place was very dark but the food was a good portion size and served fresh. They also serve fresh baked goods and fruit with your meal. I would have to mention the drink were not the best made. I did not try any deserts as we went for brunch.

The Shadows has improved. The food is of better quality, fresh and hot. The servers are allusive, maybe they don't want to interrupt your meal, but coming by even once to see how everyone is doing would not be unwelcomed.The AC is vigorous, even in winter.Good value.Consider bringing your own wine. Corkage os just $10 and their wine selection is poor.

We went to this restaurant for Happy Hour with a group of friends. We had been there a year ago and were pleased. We were disappointed with our food this visit, although some of our friends thought their meals were good. We ordered chicken bites and prawns. Both looked and tasted like they had been taken from a frozen bag and re-heated. Definitely not appetizing. The drinks and service were good. We won't go back for happy hour.

Saturday night special is Prime Rib. Dinner for 4 tonight and we each said the meal was outstanding. Comes with salad, baked potato and delicious fresh vegetables. All for $29. Service was good too!

Shadow Restaurant has gone down hill in the last three years. The food use to be very good but not anymore. Prices are out of line. $16.00 for a hamburger which is nothing special. The take out prime rib dinner recently thrown in a box, potato was awful, like it was baked in the morning. The meat was very fatty and sitting in enormous juice. Lots of competition now that is much better.

My first time dining in. I have lived in shadow hills north gate. I was presently surprised. We went with family couple and they will be back from LA quinta. Your prices are amazing.I will say the soup was.warm though delicious. Sausage and rice.
Went this past Tuesday around 12:20pm with the ladies from Bible study. I had never been to this place. As I am arriving staff was really friendly. They were wonderful for having our table ready when we arrived. There was about 10-12 of us. & another group of ladies from church sat next to us, about 10-12 of them as well. The lady who served us was really nice and attentive. The food took a little to come out but we all had out food come out at the same time. I ordered the club sandwich with sweet potato fries! Really good, 8 out of 10. If def come back to try more of their foods. A friend from our group actually lives on their property, and says all their food options are good. All our meals were really good and customer service was great! Thank you to the staff and the lady who served us so well.

We have gone to Shadow's for the last couple of Monday night football games. The service has been great. The food, on the other hand, is just ok. We ordered nachos that came without any cheese. How do you serve nachos without cheese? The hotdogs were delicious, though.

This restaurant is an enigma. It's part of Del Webb's Sun City Shadow Hills but it wants to be a public venue. The problem is that the restaurant is under built, causing a definite barrier to success. However, the menus are interesting but limited. And the food and service are usually good.
